So something happened, either the meat was sub par, or my smoker malfunctioned, and the meat looked off to me.

So this really sucks, I just had to toss 40 bucks of meat out that I smoked for 20...

It’s going to be late Friday when I get there, it will just need heated up.

I love making my BBQ for people, it’s my own rub and 24 hour smoke time. And I inject it.

I’m going to try to smoke a couple of butts for this, hoping to get up there Friday night.

I got lucky, got home to sunshine, only wet gear was my Mountain Fly, hung it for a couple hours on the porch and it was good to go.

It was good meeting everyone, hope to make another hang soon.

Did you find that the beaks added a lot to rain protection?

Makes sense to me. I have 2 tarps, I will be getting rid of the Abrigo. So only 1 to worry about.

I got a mesh snake skin, I was thinking about leaving the tarp and ridge line together.

Would that not be ideal for deploying?

Ordered up all of the stakes and tarp hard hardware from Dutch.

So seem sealer is all I need to do?

Just ordered the WB Mountainfly 20D Silpoly.

What do I need to do before taking it out? Anything special?

Going to be using a snakeskin mesh and Dutchware continous ridgeline and other...

The ridgeline I’ve been eyeballing because of Shug, it seems like the easiest way to set up a Rain Fly.

After getting the UQP in the mail, it’s so small and light, I don’t see why not keep one in the pack.

I ordered the 2qzq and some other stuff from Dutch while looking at a continuous ridgeline.

I am in the market for a new tarp likely also. But the arguments for the UQP seems to be pretty compelling.

Glad we are getting rain now, my mud was getting a little dehydrated.

I will be doing Linville and the mountains mainly, and Uwharrie.

How needed are these?

I have a HG Phoenix on order, and well, if it will protect it from damage while out, are they worth the price for insurance?
