Hey all!
Let's talks Bridge Hammocks! (if this thread already exists, let me know).
I've got a bunch of standard gathered end asym hammocks. GT, ENO, DH, and others. They're fine and...
Good info Hutz! Thanks!

Randy!! You’re amazing!! (and yes it has served me well and is in excellent condition still!)
I definitely knew adjusting the ridge line wasn’t an option due to the bugnet so I’ll definitely look...
Hi All! I haven’t been active for quite a while as I’ve been relocating from the PNW to Colorado (mix emotions, but still mountains!)
I’ve got a DreamHammock Roaming Gnome. It’s great, however...
What bridge poles come with the hammock? Std from warbonnet?
Ya height is a problem for longer hammocks (like the 11' dream hammock). Works with my eno double though.
I mostly use mine for casual hanging in the eno inside or on the deck. Still worth it to me.
LOVE my edge. Best tarp IMO
Got my 30* incubator today 5/26! Here's a quick first setup time lapse video:

I just got shipping notification today, 5/22, for an order I placed 5/7. It looks like the "lead time" is the delay between the order time and when they begin building that order. I've heard it takes...
5/4 they informed me that their lead time is about 1 week.
Does "lead time" mean the time to completion or the delay until they begin on an order?
Night grid!!! Love it
I ordered my 30* incubator on 5/7 with a note saying it was for a trip starting June 8th. I may have shot myself in the foot as it looks like lead times were well within that range! Oh well, maybe...
I had the Phoenix 40+1 but at over 6 feet tall I found that incorporating a pad (i even had mine snap onto my tq!) or staying within the insulated area of the Phoenix was a little more cumbersome and...
Perfect!! I'm highly visual, so this is an incredible help! It also helps me confirm that I believe I made the right choice.
Thanks Markr6!
Yes, as a matter of fact, I believe it was your video. I knew yours would be slightly heavier with the heavier multi-cam, but didn't know the weight of the multi-cam fabric to do the math.
Thanks...
I'm about to order an Incubator 30* but was wondering if anyone has ordered a 30* or 40* underquilt and what it actually weighs?
On the HG site, the specs listed are for a 20* and it says about...
Good luck and have fun! Don't get discouraged if your first few nights are a little awkward. Some have to "train" their body to sleep well in a hammock. Not because it's not comfortable, it's just...
I ended up going with the Edge. Great price, really light, good size, well made.
Nothing bad about this tarp and at a price that can't be beat.
My gnome gets a seat at the dinner table and is my primary beneficiary. DH IS that good! ;)
I got my down from wilderness logics. It comes in one ounce bags, so it is really convenient. Measuring is difficult, I ended up doing rough math (number of baffles divided by number of bags of down)...
It was my 1st trial into hammocking and convinced me on my 1st overnight er!
Got cold-butt syndrome but then found this forum and now I own a dream hammock, Hammock Gear UQ, built a TQ as my 1st...
Here's a pic with a little grand trunk on it! I think I may have to add about 16 inches of pipe on each end for my larger 12 foot Dream Hammock.

Oh, good to hear! I'm a huge northface fan but haven't heard much about their zip off pants. How's the weight of them?
Sawyer Mini! (going to use in-line with my platypus bladder. Anyone doing this?)
Tubbs snowshoe bag/backpack (for storing and carrying my snowshoes while I snowboard out!)
Also got this hammock...
That flash pack is sweet! Very lite!
I also go the Sawyer Mini. Can't wait to try it out!
Check out the Columbia Silver Ridge zip off pants. Ultra lite and drys very quick.
Appalachian Hammock has a tarp that looks like the OES ones and seems to compete in every area.

Yes. One side will need to be longer so that you have enough material to complete the end baffle.
11' gnome
1.8oz night grid camo
Extra zipper

I went on a solo trip knowing it was supposed to rain to try out my new Warbonnett edge tarp. I absolutely love old-growth forest in Washington!

Yes it was loose in the footbox
I tried out the snap on TQ pad last night on a simple trip. Wow! It made a huge difference! It was so nice to have my pad exactly where it needed to be all night long. I could pull my feet in and out...
A toggle system would work great I think (if your TQ footbox closed up via the same method). I have snaps on my TQ so that's what I'm having to add to my pad.
I want to keep my pad from moving is...
I'm working on adding an attachable foot pad by using the existing snaps on my top quilt. I'd love to get everyone's feedback as I am a DIY rookie.
So far it seems like it will work really well! ...
Materials were about $110 but I had to spend a little more since I didn't have basic materials such as needles and pins and such as it was my first project.
I'm working on adding an attachable foot pad by using the existing snaps on my quilt. I'll post a new thread with pics soon to get everyone's feedback!

OH NOOOO!!!!!
My wife has found out I can now sew and is having me make my kids' pants into shorts for the summer as well as reattaching torn bra straps.... ;) No one warned me of this!
I appreciate all the encouragement!
The Argon is incredibly soft!! Tough to work with and I'm not sure it's as "down proof" as other down proof fabrics. Waking up on my first trip out I could see quite a bit of light "fuzz" in the sun...
It took me about 2 weeks of evenings, so maybe 15 hours. But a lot of that was planning and figuring the best way to do things since I didn't know what to do.
Nice! That will make it much easier!
I know you'll rock it! Keep us posted with pics!
Finished it is 74" long and 46" wide at head end and 36" wide at foot end.
I used one the directions from the DIY top quilt sticky here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4362
Some advice from my recent project: there is no need to taper the quilt. It doesn't save you hardly any weight at all, plus with your foot size, you will need the extra room. It's so much more work...
I recently finished my very first sewing project: a baffled down filled top quilt made out of Argon 67. Yes I now know how ridiculous of a first project this was to undertake, but I think it turned...
Thanks to this amazing forum, I was able to take on my first sewing project and build a DIY top quilt. Yes, it was the first time I sewed and yes, I know it was a ridiculous first project. It was a...
I seems like either method will cause a loss of "effective width." One option requires a loss of fabric width but is insulated to the edges, while the other method maintains fabric width, but...
So one side of the quilt fabric is larger and is "folded" down and sewn over the ends of the baffles?
That makes a lot of sense actually. It would have eliminated the issue I'm now facing. My...
Question: Would it work to taper the baffle material to a point at the ends to help close up the gap between the edge of the baffle and the edge of the material where it will be sewn around the...
Just ordered the Edge and got a shipping notice the next day!
Ya I think I might go with a warbonnet edge. Light weight, great price, good coverage. Downside is having to add another 2 stakes and guy-line, but I guess it beats getting wet...
