Also if it is DWR any ideas how to get it off???

Are we talking only about hammock projects or EVERYTHING DIY?
The Dimensions i used were 5'x5.5' (60"x66").
Thanks guys. Its the chair length. I am working on a budget insulation to go with it since this will used on day hikes and car camping trips.

Well the whole edge is going to be hidden by the bug net zipper.
I am currently working on my HH clone. I just finished putting the first fold of the hem on and am debating on putting a second to make it a rolled hem. This is for the sides of the hammock which...
Could the problem be a short hammock. I am built kinda big (260lbs) and the hammock is 10ft gathered end with a 100in ridgeline.
I was just at the MAHHA and my DIY Gathered end hammock started to give me a little back pain right between my shoulder blades. Has anybody had this issue? Also is this related to the ridgeline?
I am very interested in going on a NY hang. I am just wondering about parking around Harrimann. The Tioroti Circle has a picnic parking but i dont know if we can park there.

I will be joining if my sewing machine finally agrees to keep working so i can make a canvas hammock sock.
Need to bail on this trip.
You may want to check out Wholefoods. Up here they carry Dr. Bronner.
I just got the call that my sewing machine(i am not ashamed to call it that) is repaired. Now i will have no excuse to get going on the few sewing projects i have left. It cost me $121.44(had to...

The poncho liner is a bit on the heavy side.
I was wondering if anybody has plans for a light weight summer underquilt. My current UQ i give a temp rating of 20F and is weights just under a 1lb. I am aiming to get something around 8oz but also...
I taught myself with all the helpful threads here and the power of the internet. Lots of learning through trial and error.
Sounds good trip. I may be able to make it. Might bring some potential converts.
I am 250lbs and i think weight is transferred to the toggle but only a small amount of the total weight. Where are the math/physics people to show this???
I used to use arrow shafts that were carbon fiber with aluminum but have "upgraded"to ti toggles(not from Dutch). They are around 3" in length and now i dont have to worry about being on the toggle...
Since u r making a bag you just need to stay around the edges running the iron. Also here is where i bought mine: http://www.questoutfitters.com/coated.html#HEAT%20SEALABLE
There is a pdf there that...
The "technique" i used was set the iron to medium heat, put the glossy sides facing each other and then slowly run my iron over the part that i wanted to seal. On Backpacking light a member named...
I made 2 inflatable pillows with heat sealable fabric and had cardboard under. One thing i noticed is that u will have too hold the iron there quite a while.
I have to agree with Graydog they are hard to get a hold of now. When i bought mine people were just getting into them and it was a little easier.
I would almost say you should just fly over to...
I have used 2 my luxe pillows and they are great. I dont think its quite 800fill but i would say 750 easily. If you have a choice i would aim for a firm king size pillow It should have enough down...
I have seen almost everything done by Ray Mears, some of Bear Grylls (sucks) and Les i wish was a little faster. Maybe if he didnt do all his own filming then it would be better. For Me Ray Mears is...

I think Syb was thinking of something similar but gave it up cause it wouldnt be worth it. My thoughts are that it would be cool but the added weight and hassle wouldnt be worth it.
**** and i thought i was going to be the first one to try this out here. Well maybe post something about it. Here is the link to backpacking light that has an article and discussion about it....
If you REALLY want to save weight and not have too much extra have somebody take some paper when u r in your hammock and trace out your "lay". That should give you a good idea of how much area you...

1x 36"x5" Top Collar
