Please let me know what they say. I guess I read your post too fast and registered it as this weekend as I was already looking at park statuses for this weekend and checked in here.
I'd be up for...
Is Roche open? I think I read 4/30 for the open date and Reserveamerica shows every campsite not available until after 5/15.
Is there enough material in the box to make a hammock for my cat?
I'm real close to KMN. This weekend is booked. You ever camp off that gixxer?
What is updated on the WBBB?
The creativity and professional nature of the credits/introduction is amazing.
There was a thread there someone used used those clear plastic inflated packing bags/cushions to supplement a thinner UQ. It was reported to have significantly helped.
Dead air has a R rating of...
I'll take it. PM incoming.
There is a Sow in my Nicolet National stomping grounds I run into periodically over the years. A few years ago bow hunting I had her at arms length while I stood there in a gille. Felt like a...
I found your work spectacular on all levels and accounts. More.
Did those spaceships ever come back?
I'll be on Gogebic the previous weekend otherwise I would try to join.
If you guys have a later date and it does not conflict with my better half's plans, I would like to join. We love da Porkies.
You all make me feel guilty. I keep everything in a giant duffel and stuffed. My one stop shop for specific hammock items; straps, stakes, ropes, quilts, tarps.
Superfly but now I want 2play's OX PALACE!
Can you ballpark the $ on that?
On Sasquatches and Cabin intrusions:
"....BIGFOOTS will close a door behind themselves...
and THATS how you know it was a bigfoot and not a bear!"
That is fantastic x3. I was initially curious on how pleated air bags would work (like the packing kind but inflate on site) inside the layers on page 1 and here it is done in experiment on page 3.
Unless your super worried about pack weight / volume, I would definitely opt for the lower temp rated quilts. Especially the UQ.
IMO the TQ is less of a issue but 20F over and 20F under is right-on...
Sounds good to me. Again, no intent to alter course. The TFF is alittle different as they are nopay islands and both woods and water locked. I agree, "campsite" does not sound inviting.
Anywhere near hard water. I like to ice fish. :) Are motorized ice drills taboo?
My intent was not to persuade a relocation however I wonder if the Turtle Flambeau Flowage State campsites are...
Is ice fishing a requirement in location options?
I was hoping someone could give me some feedback on the stuff sack (compressed) size of the 20F Incubator vs the 0F (full length, std.).
I have the 20F and was looking to see if a second...
It might depend on"
1) what you already own for a sleeping bag (happy with it?) and what your total weight or bulk aspirations are.
2) the climate/times you wish to use it.
I think most people...
There are three different modes of heat transfer; convection, conduction, radiation.
R value is thermal resistance or heat transfer over a time interval. The “heat units” transferred through the...
It looks like good stuff. My other won't eat my GoPicnics :)
I ordered some stuff....its your fault. Scrambled eggs, B-fast taco, burger wrap, chicken salad, smoothies, happy hour snack pack :). ...
How is/was the *Packit Gormet* from experience and what did you get? Familiar with any build your own or meals? Please remember this taste/recipe question within the multiple pages of needless...
No doubt! That deserves some Don Lafontaine style voice overs.
I'm new. I also like the outdoors and movies about gladiators.
I ordered some various cinch buckles, half dozen 8ft-12ft loop straps, "lock 'N loads", etc. Gary was very helpful.
Shipping was super fast even after I stated I required no expediency.
First seen this now as newcomer.
Fanfrikkentastic!! Thank you for sharing!
few things to mention:
APALS Bright Strike. It's a 3-mode disposable sticky light the size of a large band-aid for around $2. Small, thin and lightweight.
30-40hr run time.
Also makes a great...
Shoot me a PM if you like and we can move to email. I am pretty involved in the sport and would try to help.
I have slept in mind three nights now in mild weather in can firmly say that I am glad I purchased it.
That is one of the things that is great about time....... there are always new hip terms for douchebag.
I'm feeling rednecky. I will email for 100ft of that camo stuff, cinch buckles and carabineers.
as a FYI:
I spray allot of camp stuff (backpack, tent, tarp, raincoat, shoes, etc) with the CRC HD silicone spray. Cheap, wallmart stocks it, and it works but it is also not permanent.
I have been eyeballing this also. They first time I seen it I didn't buy it as I thought the build height would be excessive. Now I think it coats more like other fabric sprays.....
Do you think you would lose comfort (in the hang, ignoring temp change) with the DL version?
Try a search for a kitchen or food scale. Most are a few lbs max and <1oz resolution. The cheap kitchen scales are about $10.
Get a capable dog.
10-4. A welcomed gift given the previous week! We had a family hang when a light but loud T-storm mulled over last Sunday. I will be sacking it solo tonight... But in a indoor screen room :) My...
The GF and I have doubled up on them a several times. I have no issues or worries with them for the application.
Thanks for the replies. Well, I bought one.
They have two versions, a three pipe and a 6-pipe that snap together. I would try to get the 3-pipe if anyone is in the market. Why? Less sloppy.
Cold climate hanging experiences, gear, preparation and setup, etc.
Wallmart has it now for $69 and comes with a self inflatable sleeping pad....
Happy Monday Hangers,
Does anyone have experience with these Vivere pipe stands? Good? Bad? Ugly?
They appear to be one of the beefier & longer pipe stands.....
I put it into HF search and...
Greeting from another noob. I kinda know your area. I think there is a neat brick steak restaurant off 20/108. I did some shooting out there.
Did that UFO ever return from awhile back?
Sportsman's Guide (same joint) has had a 11ft x 11ft camo tarp for $26. Same material. Comes in a carry bag with line and stakes....
