Understood. Thanks!
Thanks for the explanation, and especially thanks for explaining in a way I could understand. :>)
Thanks JJ,
What exactly is the certificate for?
I'd like to order a UQ from HammockGear, but when going to check-out, I get the following message.
"There is a problem with this website's security certificate."
What's up with that?? Adam?
I'm ordering a 0° winter incubator and I plan on using it into the lower 40's some. I just plan on allowing it to vent as needed.
Hope that works...
Cookie,
Glad you and your boys were able to get some time to be together. Great place to do it too. This time around, that loop was a little easier I bet. Plus you didn't have to worry about...
If I use 1.75mm Zing-It (or Lash-It, I can't remember which it is) to make an adjustable ridgeline , and if I were to use a knot on this line, will the knot derate the line enough I shouldn't use it...
.
Looks like a good time for all was had. Wish I'd been able to make it, but I had another commitment. Thanks to all that gave reports and pics. Saw some familiar faces. Maybe see you at the LF...
Yeah, that's one thought I've had too.
.
I'm planning on getting an UQ in the next couple of months and I'm wondering if the (under) outer-shell that came with my HH SuperShelter would serve the same purpose as the 2QZQ Breathable...
Mac,
Will take you up on that someday. Unfortunately, I don't have any time available in the next few weeks. Hopefully, you'll still be willing when I do.
Glen
Mac,
Do you know of anyone that may have GPS side-trails/way-points that are not on the "official" map that might be shared?
I never chimed in but I'd hope I would be able to make it at the last minute but it didn't work out. Thanks for posting the pics, etc... Looks like it was a great weekend to be there.
Sure couldn't hurt though, eh?? :D
Lucky guy...

For me, the biggest advantage is if you should need to remove your strap from around the tree, you don't necessarily have to undo the rest of the suspension from the strap to do so.
.
BlazeAway,
Having the 2QZQ-#2 mod on my HH, that sounds like an excellent idea! :thumbup1:
.
Doesn't keep you or the outside of your pack dry? hmmm... Why so??
.
GREAT CHOICE
I wish you good fortune HammockGear

Looking like you'll have a good turn out!
(Just some friendly advice... with Hawk-eye there, it's best to keep the Sherriffs number on speed-dial...

Sorry to be so long before posting. I haven't had the time to be on the forums since getting back from the hang. Got a lot of catching up to do!
I never expected to see 40 some hammocks at LG...

22.5 hours before Hawk-eye and I hit the road. Guess I'd best start packing, eh?
.
Tim,
Sorry it's working out that way for you pardner! We'll surely miss your company. FYI, the last time I spoke with Nooner (Wed or so), he said he is now coming back on Sat. (maybe that might...
Would love to see 'em! :D
If santa would lend us that sleigh, sure would cut the time to get from ridge to ridge, eh?
(Been hoping the FS would put in a zipline from TR to Wisemans!)
edit- Of course we would hang a Cuben...

Bring it on, Frosty!

BUMP question

Thanks CK1
I've been playing softball (modified pitch and slow pitch) since I was 20 (now 56), but I haven't seen or heard of that style of SB around here. By the way, you are talking a 12...
Anyone have a photo of the full length (winter) Incubator in a stuff sack? (I'm wondering about the size it might be when bagged.)
(I asked this question earlier on this thread ...

Michael or Ken,
The parking/drop off spot is approx how far to the main base camp? I've not camped there before and thought it might be good to mention that so folks can figure out about...

Glad you and your wife can make it Detail Man. Shoot Hawk-eye a pm and he'll add you both to the list. (Give date and approx time of arriving)
You'll catch up pretty much by going back to...

Thanks to all for the replies. They have definately answered questions I had! :)

If I should end up with only 1 uq, it seems best to get as low a degree uq as you expect to go, since you can't adjust it "down" (no pun intended) but to so low of a degree rating , but you...
So I take it the Incubator can be adjusted to be comfortable even in the 40°-50° range?
.
I've never used an UQ before. If I get an UQ, I don't want to use a "foot" pad with one (my feet get cold before any other parts), so I've decided if/when I purchase an UQ, I'd like a full...
Has anyone tried strips of "innertube" rubber for the tensioner? If so, how'd it work?
.
For an adjustable tarp ridgeline, you may want to try a seperate tarp ridgeline (full length, tree to tree) and have the tarp connected to that line with prusik knots that allow plenty of...
