I hate to hear about your back problems...ironically that was what chased me to hammocks. I hope you get your health problems taken care of and are able to enjoy life off the ground again.
Sounds like you had a great time. The wbbb is a terrific hammock. It was a great outing for you. Thanks for sharing.
HH are a great one stop shop.....but I love my WBBB, it is very comfortable!!! You won't regret your choice.
Thanks all.....I probably will email Paul at AHE and ask...I really love my New River underquilt....so great quality craftsmanship
Do these exist? I really would love a KAQ Owyhee long with a sewn foot box but I believe they only come with omni tape. Just curious....any thoughts and assistance is appreciated.

Absolutely agree
Breakfast in bed on the trail.....hard to beat
Try some Melatonin....small dose...should give you a more natural rest
Depending on your weight...either 1.1SL or 1.1DL would be perfect
Agree totally
1.1DL is a good compromise

The KAQ New River meets your cost requirements. Plus, the New River is a high quality piece of kit that is light and really not that bulky....for ROI New River is hard to beat. That being said if...
This is an interesting topic of discussion and debate. The truth is both down and synthetic have their place. I use a KAQ synthetic underquilt, which I love. Down is wonderful and at this point,...

Do you guys think the synthetic quilts will last comparably to down?
That's probably the right way to go....you'd think I wouldn't have to even think about this at this point....also, coming up on 23 years
Thanks. That's where I have been leaning but that HG Burrow is calling too....lol
I am interested in getting a topquilt....my concern is with a down topquilt (HG Burrow 20) not sure about the hassle factor of care/cleaning and with a synthetic (AHE...Owyhee) not sure about...
