Mine is a joke from my job as a medic. Plus my wife says I'm a " glass half full" kind of person.
What is it they say? It's not that the wind is blowing, it's what the wind is blowing.
Glad you're ok..Had sirens all night too and now we got flooding with road closings everywhere . I'm at work on the ambulance/FD tonight so hoping for a quiet night. MS river levee is closed for 100...
Used them but went to whoopies. My daughter uses them but she's 3 so not enough weight to make much difference.
Welcome to HF. Have fun with the WBBB.
Big Papi, it's a tight fit. Works fine, just not sure how it'll be in blowing downpour. Can always pitch tighter and lower it closer to the hammock. Going to try it out next chance to see.
Yeah i think my angle was off some. Got comfortable by sliding down some and getting on greater diagonal. It was nice out with a breeze blowing, just me and man's best friend( almost stepped on her...
Thanks Shug.
So I got the night to myself, wife @ work and Nana wanted 3 y/o to spend the night. Got me to thinking about setting everything up in the yard. ENO DN, KAQ UQ, Bugnet( 3 days of 70* weather in...

Thanks OutandBack
Oh, Thanks by the way Knotty
Yeah it ended up higher than I wanted. Actually I was warm, but for overnight I'd would've definitely needed my UQ. DIY Bushbuddy came from...
Yeah, I was looking at the extra amsteel loop.
TFCRick, I just switched my ENO to whoopies and straps..love them. I have the system for JRB. They work like a charm.. 60" straps and 6' whoopies with dutch clips and biners. Only downside I see is...
Took a quick hike in the woods close to home. Really just to practice setup. Don't have trees at the house.Took some pics, hopefully they load right. Love the whoopies from JRB, along with the Dutch...

Welcome to HF from a fellow jake.
Thanks. I felt there was an answer.
Need seasoned hanger's insight. I have a ENO DN and no complaints except the SlapStraps. Yes, mine stretch. I'm going to WS. I like the complete suspension system from JRB. But the straps are only...
No rust yet..used a handfull of times. The upside is if it does rust, I can make another one for about $5.
I painted mine with high temp paint. The spray kind you use on barbque grills.
I do the same as TFCRick. It's a Sweet Sue chicken can. It fits inside the bottom of the paint can for storage. My DIY alky stove fits it it also and the whole thing goes into a Crown Royal bag then...
I'm in the same spot. Nowhere to hang in bays, only trees are out front and are about 60' apart. Someone recommended hanging between trucks but I haven't tried it yet.
Just received my New River UQ today. AHE service was great, thanks. Unfortunately, I'm at work at the firestation and don't have a place to hang and test it out. Report and pics when I get a chance.
