Hope to make it Always a good time
I live in PA and never camped up there. I would love for a reason to get up there so if something gets planned. I would definitely make the drive
Check out Donny Outdoors, Tony Hobs, Outdoor life of brian,Pharraoh just to list a few. Not all hammock camping but good outdoor videos with some hammock,Tarp camping bushcraft and canoe trips.
Thank you V_Allen I will check them out
Thinking about making a tarp. Where do I get material to make a tarp?
Head right feet left. Tries head left just can't do it.
Can't wait. Just signed the sheet.
I will be hammock camping with daughter at Breakneck campground this weekend. Portersville PA. Next to Moraine and Mcconals Mills state parks
TDHanger - What does the rest of your setup sans shelter look like?[/QUOTE]
Right now I am using a Dangerbird about 25.3 OZ and a Super fly that's another 25OZ.
Has anyone used one of these Hummingbird hammocks. The Single+ hammock is 120X64 holds 350LBS and is only 7.5OZ. Thats pretty light.
I am short 5'6" so I only need a 10' hammock
Thanks MAD777. Yea just need to spend the money for a Cuben to save weight on tarp. I guess that since any hammock using the 1.6 would weigh around the same it don't mattering what vender used.
I am looking for an ultra light hammock setup. Does anyone have any suggestions on equipment. I would like the hammock, tarp and all hardware to be 2 pounds or less.
Is the pillow the 1.9 oz version
What is the weight of the pack alone on your scale?
This is a great pack I was looking at this for a long time but decided to go with the MLD Newt but anyone intrested this link might help you....
Count me in can't wait.
Looks like a nice area. Also like the bushcraft.
Cali We would love to have you at a MAHHA. This year we has 125+ hangers. It was a great time. I am going to do my best to make it down. I already told my wife I was going to try.

On my way. Can't wait to get there. Hope rain holds out
Looks like great hang. What would be the closest airport. Would like to come depending on cost.
Just got my Dangerbird this winter first real hang this weekend at the MAHHA. Can't wait to test it out.
I agree to all the channels posted. I would like to add Pharoah and pawoodsmen
I have a new danger bird using a jacks r better underquilt. My question is when placing the quilt under the hammock how do i keep it in place? It wants to stay to one side of hammock and not under...

I am interested in hiking in. I will watch this post to see what the plans are then will try to get extra day off work. Are you planning on shuttling or hiking back out Sunday?
This looks like a great trip. I would like to try and join you. I am newer to backpacking and would like to go with other people before going out by myself. I just have to try to get off work.
Yea I'm really thinking about the Palace with 11" ridge line. Just have to decide if want camo or not. Think I might like the view of the regular one.
I'll be there for sure. I will also keep watch for a hang at Watoga. Awesome place.
I'm with you I'm 5'7" wish they made the BB with the extra netting and removable tops
