Good work on getting it through. I just found some instructions, just in case it helps someone else. These are instructions for making a locked brummel loop when you don't have access to the other...
I don't know if there's a tutorial, but I've done it myself. You actually need to do something which is hard to explain. After pulling the end through, you need to turn the resultant loop inside...
