Has anyone found a way of anchoring the stand to the ground to help with wind when not in it?
I found this to be excellent advice. It gives me the ability to hang just about any kind of hammock with the different length adjustment.
I second the turtledog stand. Then you can use it inside also.
We hiked this trail 2 years ago. What a beautiful trail for the middle of the US. Thanks for bringing back the memory's.
out of several that I own, the tree to tree switchback is my favorite.
my dealings with her are very positive as well. refreshing in todays world.
I will try make sure it is level and see if this helps. This is a great hammock with a pad in it. Almost like a bed!
its a ridge runner with a pad in the sleeve. I have tried to let the pad down some and a lot, but have not gotten the problem to go completely away. It is completely different for any of my gathered...
do you ever feel that you have pressure on the bottom of your calfs when laying flat on your back? I know that sounds odd, but I am trying to figure out how to stop it.
The wait will be worth it! Brandon makes great gear.
I 2d the push hard before hooking up.
I am in, make it a all in one.:)
I believe that the adhesive is on the back side.
I would love to make one of these, maybe next time. I really like the park there, camped there last year with a scout crew. Living in KC area it is close.
I have thought about opening up the foot end of the pad sleeve. I think that being able to reach in and pull a pad would be great.
I think it is a great idea, I would be interested.
Talldaddy, did you use fence top rail for your top rail? Also I would be interested in how long? This is exactly what I had considered for scout trips. dave
I would be interested in 2 poles, dave.
you can use hammocks at northern tier also. dave
i am looking for any input on the DP Hammock Gear 1/2 Length Bug Net. Has anyone used one? dave
Thanks for all the input. I wish I would have read this before I ordered a new wilderness logics bug net, but I'm sure that Marty will be glad that I did not. :)
I am looking at buying a bug net to use on my BIAS WW hammock that I just purchased. I looked hard at the BIAS bug sleeve and at the wilderness logic bug net. I really like the way that the...
The switchback is still the best hammock that I own. I have a wbbb, a jrb bridge, light owl and 2 or 3 others. The switchback is still my go to hammock, and the one that I sleep the best in. Enjoy....
I now own several, but my go to and most comfortable is the tree to tree switchback. I tried hard to love my blackbird, but like Shane could not get past the calf ridge. dave
Merry Christmas to all. and a wish for a healthy and safe new year. dave
Just ordered a 0 degree burrow, $50 off, thanks for the great deal. dave:)
I have been wanting a full length under quilt to use when it it too cold for my 3/4. thank you for helping me make up my mind. I ordered a wilderness logics wit 2 oz overfill today. dave:D
I have a 1.1 double sb and love it. I am 6' and 215. very comfortable hammock. dave
I just ordered one of these yesterday, just wanted to see if was a usable loaner for my son. Will let you know what I think of it when I get it next week. dave
thanks that's simple enough. dave
OutandBack, How did you remove and reattach the metal sleeves from the rods? Will they come off with a hair dryer as a heat source? thanks dave
What tarp is everyone using with a Switch Back? I have a Big Mamajamba tarp with a 132" ridge line. It looks like enough length. dave
I am interested in having a set of these made also, did you specify a size or just let her know what tarp you had and let her suggest sizing? dave
I picked up a lot as a scout. As an adult leader in scouting I try to pass this on the boys. I will say that the internet resources today are extremely helpful. The animated web sites really make it...

when I was looking for a way to shorten my wbbb ridge line it was suggested to me to take a small carabiner and just hook it over the ridge line and take a couple of wraps as needed around the back...
Shane, how do compare the switchback to your light hiker. I have a light hiker and think I might like to have the bigger hammock. I may just have to order one and wait for it and see how they...

I am looking for a little follow up on how this worked out for shane. I am thinking about changing my 1.1 dbl to an adjustable ridge line to try and stop the knee pressure, dave
