Excellent! We missed you last year.
Same thing. It could be winterish, it could be warm. Down bt the stream it never gets too hot because the water comes out of the ground really cold no matter the weather.
And people are welcome to come days earlier or later and stay on the land. Just let me know when you plan to get there so I can let the neibors know to that we expect campers.
Only 5 more months!
We are up there this weekend and off and on this next week. If anyone wants to come by let me know. We are working on a little cabin and hope to get some fun hikes in too.
You guys are too much

Our land is 15 miles from RT 93 exit 23 (mile marker 68) and that takes about 30 minutes to drive.
If you set your GPS to Cream Hill Rd, Alexandria, NH it might get you there, but...

We are looking to have the Great Pumpkin Hang a little earlier this year. Warmer days lead to more people up for cool hikes and stuff. Eliot and I looked at...
So much fun as always! I'm so glad that I got out to see you all, even though I couldn't stay over.
That hike with all of the larper craziness was epic. Makes me want to nail random signs with...
Cool, I just got out of some obligations here and will be able to swing over and see you all! Can't stay overnight unfortunately, but save a spot by the campfire for me :)
Wow, who can follow that?
I just wanted to thank everyone so much for coming. All of the food, friendship, and conversion is priceless to us. The whole Lebsack clan had a great time.
I should be there by 11 or 12 today.
If anyone missed it, be sure to check out the FAQ linked in my signature or a few posts up.
See you all soon :-)

118207these are the little signs we made for directions. They are small (duct tape width), but should stand out.
My kids are always up for hammocks.
If you can't make it up the hill (and I think anything except something with unusually low clearance can) just park wherever and we can go down and move it if...
Sure, but then you'll be in charge of babysitting :)
I think the kids won't be coming up until either sat night or Sunday morning.
Thanks John, can't wait to see you.
This part is all the things you pass in the last half mile or so.
I should be getting there Friday morning and will put up some signs, but I think you will have an easy time with the above...
We have some pine including a few large fallen ones, so I bet we could get plenty.
If anyone wants to edit that post or stick it somewhere, go ahead. I'm terrible at writing clear directions
If you set your GPS to Cream Hill Rd, Alexandria, NH it might get you there, but check the directions. The way is simple, mostly straight and bearing right at forks, but people tent to...
We expect a little mess, just try as best you can to use the outhouse correctly
The weather is looking better every time I check. Hopefully the rain will miss us sunday
To the question of guns, no shooting at the hang. Too many people, kids and animals to keep track of.
For other times, we do have a range area set up and are working on a long range too. We shot...
There hasn't been anyone who wanted to organize that sort over things so far. If someone wants to do the legwork I can help, but this time of year I never have the extra time to run point.
I'm up here right now and it is unbelievably beautiful.
Lol beers, meant bears, but either works.
Seriously, I will do signs. But if I use an H with an arrow everyone will think there is a Hillary Clinton rally in the woods...
The beers are going to looooove you.
The very beginning of Cream Hill Rd is where the logging road starts, at the street sign.
I will be posting detailed directions from exit 23 of 93. I just want to double check them in person...
Probably would, we have no clue what we're doing.
Just that and a pretty nice jeep. Haven't gotten it running yet, but we're close. Never know what you'll find in the woods :-)
Eliot has gotten the case 680 we found on the land working, so it isn't a matter of not having the tools. It is just a long job of raising up that area and we've been working on other projects...
I've made much more descriptive directions, I just want to check them in person before I post. I don't think it's too hard to do at night the first time. We will try to get some signs for the...
We would definitely appreciate help with wood processing. There is a whole pile of logs the loggers didn't take. They are right past the gate towards Elwell traill. We can bring it down once Eliot...
Wow, that story about the two chihuahuas chasing a deer mouse gets better every year :-p
Do moose eat punkins? We don't mind the trash. We can fit a lot in the pickup.
Oooo, who's going to bring pumpkins? I can bring the stuff to make candied pumpkin seeds. I bet that can be done over a campfire.
We will have tha camper heated for emergencies, so if at 2am someone needs to pop in and sleep inside we understand. The last two years no one has had an issue that I know of. I think it has been...
Welcome Dana, we have some spaces a tent will work. Be sure to bring some good ground insulation since it can get pretty chilly in a tent that time of year.
hey, we could always show up early :-) EDIT: or stay late since full moon is Oct 27th EDIT EDIT: Well now I want to go up Sept 28th for the Eclipse
That is a cool spot, but I have a couple new ones in mind. I found some small caves and a nifty spot with giant random rocks. So much to see. Never enough time to explore.
I think it would be fun to plan one lunch as a picnick where we hike somewhere close and bring whatever we would on a longer hike for seating and trail food. Even if we aren't too far off from camp...
It is on the Mt cardigan quadrangle and part is on the newfound lake quadrangle. The trails are on the amc cardigan map
That's a great one. Has hammocks in it! I clearly need more attractive pants though. The purple plaid isn't working for me.
it is very close to the parking, maybe 200 yards and a wheelbarrow is available.
Here is the video that Alex put together from last year. All of this is from the land or within about a mile hike.
That is a handsome group!
What did I forget?
Weather: it is a higher altitude than the surrounding area, so it tends to have its own microclimate and be 10 degrees colder than the forcast. Late October can be like a...
