Thanks for sharing your trip. This is a trip I am looking to do in the next few years.
Great video and sweet bike!!
I have a silnylon and the nylon. I take the sil if there is a good chance of rain, helps to keep UQ dry. Main purpose is keeping the wind from robbing all the heat I have established. They are a...

I love my Hammock Gear cuben Winter Palace. If I were to buy a sil I would personally go with Wilderness Logics Old Man Winter, an amazing tarp.
You can't go wrong with HammockGear great company and great people!!
Check out the Allstays Camp and RV app for your smart phone. Its a cool app to help find camping spots when your on the road.

Wilderness Logics Tadpole. Very nice tarp and Marty and the folks from WL are great!!
They do use treated down and it is amazing. The dry down has to go through extensive testing before the down industry will give that approval. One test is putting the down in a jar with water and...
+1 on the lions. I have never sweated the bears but the lions are a scary critter. As far as the east I worry more about ticks than I ever have the bears.
U won't regret and it is definitely worth the wait
Winter Palace by hammock gear hands down best tarp I have had or seen used. Durable, super lightweight, no stretch, superior coverage and amazingly durable. Believe me I have put it to the test.
What kind of material you using?
I have used sawyers for yrs and never had it stain. They also have a good video on their website for permethrin
I leave it cinched that way if there is any adjustment needed its usually minimal
My go to hammock is my diy 1.9 rip stop 11' by 60 ". It is light and very comfy. It comes in at 14 oz with continuous loops threaded through the end channel and a dynaglide ridge line.
Yea I always pack an UQ. If the breeze is right I have gotten chilled in the 80's especially by water.
285 here and have put many nights in my tablecloth with no problems
