my cub scouts use long straps with biner clipped on the loop end, just wrap it around the tree and clip to the strap...with D rings on the hammock, super quick and easy to adjust
Nice...I'll be doing the same thing in August with my cub scouts, just a week after my week long hike on the AT!!
Well...I think even my cub scouts could make simple summer UQs with this easy setup...thanks for sharing!!

I picked up roll ends of both the fabric and the climashield apex from "Ripstop by the Roll"...managed to make 2 UQs for less than $50, a full length for me and a 3/4 for one of the grandkids to use....

I have the Yukon with the bug net and like it just fine. It is not really a ridgeline, it is a thin bungee cord and keeps the net up, mine is hooked on the hammock suspension. My grandkids both love...
Hiking poles to knock down the spider webs, bug net on the hammock...never had a snake problem because I make plenty noise with said hiking poles to warn the slithers that I am coming.
put Dutchware on your favorites list and you can't go wrong!!

I don't know what IX is but 60 is not low enough for what I need...I take my grandson hammocking with me and need 20 to 30 degree range for him for late fall and early spring hanging

I live on the shore and really don't know of any marsh camping areas in Dorchester county. There may be hunting guides who would allow hammock camping on some of their hunting properties though....

My grandkids have been camping, both tent and hammock since they were each just a few months old. The little one (age 4) is getting her own purple hammock for the holidays...she just does not care...
