I have done section 13 http://www.pinhotitrailalliance.org/section-13..html a couple of times and really like it. There are some really good views. You do have to plan water a bit but it is available...
Mine is on my car camping gear box.
Brandon/Warbonnet has the most outstanding customer service I have experienced. He/they went way above and beyond in helping with my damaged BB.
I don't give my loyalty away easily, especially to...
I don't have enough posts to put this in the For Sale thread but LeftLane Sports has GT Doubles on sale for $47.95 + shipping.
...
Have sewing capability but looking for best way to reinforce the rip. Should I use a grosgrain strip to hold the two sides of the rip together or just sew the two sides back together after folding...
I need the double layer for both a pad and the extra support for weight.
I won't go into the act of stupidity that led to the need for a repair but suffice it to say I am ashamed. :(
I have a rip in the bottom layer of my 1.1 double layer BB that goes from side to side...
I also think the economy has a little to do with it. As you can tell from the "For Sale" section used WBBBs go fast and retain their value. So if you need cash, need it to be quick and get back...
I am in. Thanks.
Let's see if we can get Brandon to clarify.
Brandon, what about the SF ridge seam benefits from having it tied at both ends and pulled taught versus using a CRL?
Thanks,
BB
Chew,
I can add/release tension plus adjust location of the tarp along the CRL using the soft shackles attached at each end of the ridge seam that are prussiced to the CRL. So I can pull it as...
Charlieb,
Thanks for the tip. I will put Dutch Flyz on the shopping list. Looks like they are easy to use. Currently I have the figure 9 prussiced to the CRL so I can do very similar adjustment as...
Completely agree. The SF keeps all options open (including going to ground :scared:) and IMHO, with that in mind, it is just not that much heavier than a smaller tarp. If
ShortTrip,
I would like to take the credit for thinking of a gear hammock but I picked the idea up here on HF. Jacks-R-Better sells gear hammocks (others may as well) that are not full sized...
Thanks BH! It works well for me.
Denis,
For the gear hammock it has woopie slings with 6 foot tree straps that I tie marlin spike hitches. This is certainly overkill for a gear hammock but I also use the GTUL as hammock on...
Already a few hangers in the troop but I am the only Warbonnet guy. Most use ENO's and crap straps and there are couple Hennessy users too. Teenage boys go for whatever is the least (apparent) work....
Thought I would share some pics of my WBBB 1.1 DL from my most recent camping trip with the Boy Scouts on the Tallapoosa River here in Alabama.
I have the Super Fly set up in porch mode with a...

I'm in. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
I'm in.
Thanks for the generosity.
I'm in.....
As just another decrease in the odds of success.
Package delivered today. Going out backpacking tomorrow.
Sweeet!
Thanks Brandon.
Mike
Brucie,
Thanks for looking out for me. One of the benefits of waiting two and a half months is that I had plenty of time to peruse HF and prepare.
I already have my zing-it cut and spliced into...
Mine is in the hands of the USPS now as well. I am giddy as a school girl. I have a backpacking trip with the my son's Boy Scout troop this weekend and hope it lands on my front porch by Friday....
Thanks Dave. Just trying to get a feel where I sit in line and when I might expect mine.
Dave,
When did you order yours?
Thanks for the update Brandon. I am already daydreaming about sleeping under my new superfly in my 1.1 DL WBBB.
Have a trip for next weekend planned and can't wait to test it out.
Good luck in the new shop.
BBG-
Thanks for the offer- I may take you up on it. I am in the B'ham area but will be heading to Camp Comer (Mentone, AL) with the Boy Scouts so passing through Gadsden on the way. I will be...
Wow you're quite the multi-tasker.
I am in the Birmingham area (Homewood, AL). The WBBB certainly seems to be well thought of on the forum.
Are you happy with your Noah's tarp?
Taylo-
I'm in central AL-Birmingham, AL area.
Thanks for the advice. A ridgeline will be added to my sons rig for sure and possibly the whoopieslings. For him one of the benefits is simplicity...
Hi All,
Just getting started with hammock camping. I was introduced to it when my son started Boy Scouts. Hammock camping was not an optionthat I was aware of back in the late 70's and early 80's...
