Well that is exactly what I was considering. Since I live in Mobile, Alabama I was considering setting up a Hammock on the Mardi Gras parade route.

I am planning to make one of these soon myself, though I do have to ask, has anyone considered puttign rubber on the tripod feet, like from an old tire?

My parent's are having their deck rebuilt, so I may try and get the wood for one of these this weekend.
