Maybe, but my schedule is pretty nuts at the moment.
Agreed, my experience as well.. Pick the weekend in feb that best suits you.. How bout the first or second one?
I have been hoping for a good weekend to do a short trip to the HOH rainforest. But lately the weekends have been overly wet and windy. But I may be game depending on when and how life plays out.
WOO HOO Timberline has snow!!!!!!!
How is it to early? We have ALWAYS had snow on that date. Last year a week later till basically now there was nothing up there. There is nothing we can...
Quilts seem to hold there value very well, to the point I would rather just buy it retail for a few dollars more. Sometimes you will see a good deal on here but usually its a saving of less that $50....
I am sure a couple smaller trips on Rainier will happen this winter.
Where bout on East Coast? Rainier has lots of good hiking/Hanging as well as the Olympic Pen. I am sure there are lots that are a bit closer to you but I am not familiar. Quite a few hangers in your...
Very Cool.. never been hiking over there.
Just a bit of info that resulted in why we chose the time period in previous years that we did.
1. Snow was decently reliable (yes weather has been nuts the past 2 years) The weather is going to...
On Mt hood in Oregon not Washington.
Good to know about HWY 97 have not traveled it in the winter.
To me the bigger issue is that going to Bend would add about 2 more hours of winter travel time for 90% of people that have been...
Might still but you might lose a few regulars that come from the north adding a few more hours to their trip in the winter. The passes can be hairy some winters, I-5 and 26 are always well maintained.
Ill keep an eye on that.. planning on hitting Enchanted Valley next weekend. The fires this year are crazy!
Hoh rain forest and Enchanted Valley are never bad
It might be the one I pulled from the trailer (spoon) for the blackberry meal..
I handed the hammock to you myself and Kayt has your cooler. We did a walk through and nothing was left on site...
I will take another look tomorrow but I am pretty sure.
Hers a Start:
Another good Hang with 14 people this year, Great weather (especially the stars) I would like to thank all who came out and even more thanks to all all who helped clear property with...
Get in car come on out.
So come on out! Go packers!
Cool group from Olympia in route, guessing another hour and CreativeKayt on the way as well. I'm just making piles as I have energy

Well this would be more of a diy hammock design where its your hammock and you can set it up reliably the same.. Would b hard to do as a custom order kinda thing
I have trees on mine.. But if sinking poles save money and sink 4x4s and put a runner over the top. The n you don't need to go as deep and makes it easy
If u kept the bunjy ends and just added a couple smaller magnets to keep the quilt in place it could work
On site.. See ya when I see ya
Its been a slow start this morning but I will be up at the property between 9 and 10
If your interested in one state side just say when and where you will be showing up and we can see what we can do.
Just use your best judgment. Im sure it will be fine.
Just a reminder (mainly for new comers) that this is not a standard perfectly groomed campground. This is a 20 acre over grown area that I have been slowly clearing. You can feel free to clear...
Just bring your insulation.. I will work on making sure there is an extra hammock.
Who carry a decent selection of beer for a small town:)
I would pack drinking water, will have plenty of good water for washing and stuff though
I am sure there will be extra hammocks if yours does not make it on time.
Im sure we will have a few more dutch ovens there:)
Been on the road for 2 days so no reply.. We have had a potluck of sorts every year and always had more than enough food.
People just said what they were bringing and people brought stuff and it all...
I am sure you could manage that without to much issue. Or you could toss in some hay bails and set it up on top easily.
Archery is cool.
I will most likely be there Thursday.
There is a bathroom outhouse up top that has an electric flush toilet. I can also have a heated shower to use if people want it.
Rest of the time.. pee on a tree.
Private Property.. I am going to have one.. :)
Sorry Missed this one
Some areas the sky is better than others.. but you can walk up the hill and have a full view.. Not a lot of lights around so unless cloudy you should have good options.
feel free to stop in and say hello
I will be there Thursday through Sunday. come when ever you like
Almost every lake up there has good hanging spots. Lots of options. I miss Mt Hood, I think I am going to have to come back down there for a trip.
Just commit or find a Hang you can go to
Basically except you can't see the cars. You park up top and walk down the trail into the woods. We usually cook and eat up top. But yeah no need not to bring extra comforts.
As for food, I am open for just about anything.
Might have as many as 13 Hangers so far.
Ill stick with bikes with motors:)
What kind of bikes? Not sure how many FS roads are around here.
When a bit closer I will check on the river levels, pretty low this year but I was with some friends swimming couple weeks ago.
Yep and then some.
