I just switched out my stock DD Hammock suspension(with biners) to the "Marlin Spike Hitch Whoopie Sling Kit" from Arrowhead Equipment. The total weight of my suspension went from 1lb.3oz. to 6oz.

I guess I've been a hammock camper since the early 90's. You know whipping the ends of my poncho liner and tying it between two trees with 550 cord, then using my poncho as a tarp. Ah the life life...
