Good deal. I hope this works out great for you in the end.
I'm 5'7" and sleep in a 10ft x 60 hammock every night.
Not a problem. Email sent.
Does it happen to be #2935
If so, it's ready to assemble and ship out this afternoon.
Awesome and thank you.
Every shop should have a Sass-o-Meter. We couldn't make it a day without ours.
Here's a tutorial on building DIY zipper top bags.
I'm afraid I don't have a photo of the double layers with a pad. On our recent photos page you can see several of the hammocks have a sleeping pad thrown in to help give the hammock some sort of...
I wish YOU would have bothered to contact UGQ before starting this thread.
How long would it take YOU?
Try contacting them today. You might be pleasantly surprised how responsive they are.
Not a standard item we offer, but we could probably fix you up. Not in this DIY thread though.
This particular fabric is a DWR treated 1.9oz ripstop, but you could make it out of just about any...
Sure. These are handy to have around and I've built many.
Here's one that I happen to have sitting around in the workshop.
Fabric: 1.9oz A-Tacs AU ripstop
Size: 15" long x 5" wide x 5" deep...
Thanks. I'm just now recovering from the headache that Neon Green gave me. Bright enough that it gave my entire work area an eerie green glow.
Exactly. hiker63 hit me up for an impromptu video so lord only knows what I may have blathered.
Big job to edit out where I sound like a doofus. :)
The ThunderBird has one long separating zipper on each side of the hammock. This allows the net and overcover to be completely removed and left at home depending on the weather. The zipper starts at...
No I hear you.
The original versions of the HyBird used a smaller #3 non-separating zipper for the overcover, which is a good bit lighter and less expensive than the #5 2 way separating zippers.
We have looked at and even built one like this before. Yes, it was rather heavy and expensive.
It was a real pain to get the zipper sliders past each other on the 2 separate zipper halves. In...
We were able to knock 4 off the list today and I will be getting photos posted and website updated shortly.
MamaSmurf and I arrived back back in Ohio this evening to 26F and snow. It was a great weekend speaking with old friends and meeting new ones. Thanks to everybody for a wonderful time.
Exactly right. We are continuing to work on this and several other designs as time permits. It's not a matter of good design vs poor design, but rather being able to produce hammocks in an efficient...
Chilly 1 degree this morning in Akron, Ohio. Really looking forward to some Florida sunshine.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/13/4a8e4a3e570a67557a8aff3f830876ff.jpg
We've had a few people specifically order a 10ft length with the 72" fabric, but it's much more common to go with this fabric in the 11ft.
We have had folks in the 6ft or so tall area who wanted...
Just printed the shipping label for #2774. I'll get the photos posted and website updated this evening. Thanks for your business iconicflux.
One of the biggest issues with a stand like this is getting enough height. This stand is 122" long and to get a good hang without being close to the floor, the height should be something like 53"....
Hope you have a great first hang with it soon.
The stuff sack was built by our youngest son BearPlow, who's currently training in the ways of the Smurf.
Good deal. I was pleased with the look of that one. Looking forward to meeting with you down in Florida next month.
Forgot to add the text explaining it, thanks.
You would adjust the quantity to match the dollar amount desired.
A while back MamaSmurf and I moved the bed out of the bedroom. Now I guess we should call it the hammockroom instead of bedroom. :)
It's that time again where we are getting lots of gift certificate requests. If you would like a Dream Hammock, but missed the opportunity to order one to be delivered before Christmas, we'd be happy...
We have built 4 or 5 of these now on a special order basis. While I like the design concept and was generally happy with the quality of the ones we built, we will not be offering them at this time....
Awesome. What materials are you using for the tarp?
Hmmm... don't know, but come to think of it, my last tent had white netting too. I don't really recall noticing much of a view in my tent days?
Many of my early hammock outings were as a...
Black or very dark colored netting is easier to see out of.
I wouldn't overthink it. Just eyeball it to get fairly close and then check the ridgeline. A couple degrees here & then won't hurt a thing. This video may be of some help.
Much of the feedback on the overcover vent has been pretty positive, but we've had a few people who have went with a vent on both ends to make certain they don't run into condensation issues. On the...
That's an Olive Yellow Hex70 one on it's way down to Texas.
Thanks. It's been a busy couple days for MamaSmurf and I.
Half a dozen Sparrow hammocks finished up and in the hands of the best darn Post Office in the country.
Hadn't figured on offering them for sale, but contact me and I'm sure we can work something out.
We have never offered a Black Friday sale and this promotion runs from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Day, which includes Black Friday.
Dream Hammock is offering a handmade Christmas Stocking to all customers who purchase one of our hammocks. These Stockings...
Your package shows delivered today. I hope this one works out real well for you.
No, pushing hard to get everything shipped before kick-off at noon.
Hopefully in my chair in time for Ohio State vs Michigan.
You're all set. We plan to make it down to the post office today before it closes.
MamaSmurf just packaged your hammock up. On it's way to you soon.
Yea, we'll probably start a new thread on that after the weekend. Don't want to step on everybody else's promotions.
You can see a diagram of how this suspension system works here.
We build our continuous loops using 7/64 Amsteel so my guess is that they would work with this hardware.
Black Friday ain't a thing.
Please spend this time with your family instead.
