I just recently got the Lazy Slug Tubes for my clark nx-250 and so far like it a lot. Quilts, hammock and pillow all in one fast deployment setup. I really like that it means I don't have to fuss...
Just as an FYI, the clark tarps are not integrated with the hammock and are interchangeable (generally), and it would be helpful to see them shown separately on the tarps page. I'd love to be able...
Very cool. Thanks for the pics. I was wondering how to get a good seal when using my pockets.
I'd love to see a picture of your topquilt suspension attached to the 250, I'm not really understanding it from the description.
Thanks!
Are Canadians eligible for this deal?
Greetings to another person from New Brunswick. i have hiked parts of the Fundy footpath myself. .. nothing like hanging at the end of a long day!
I'm in. thanks
the New River is synthetic, if you prefer down you'll need to go another way, but for the money I think its an amazing deal and very effective, I wouldn't hesitate to take it down to its rating of 30...
I have and enjoy the AHE New River... it fits great and keeps me toasty all night long.
I highly recommend it :)
and its comfy too :) My son asked me about it, I'm afraid he may want one now too :(
We'll see!

My New River came in today and I tried it out for a bit this evening... It is so warm, fits perfectly on my nx-250... highly recommend it! (I got the long version... it covers all of me and is still...

Hi there,
Guyturf here...
St. Martins, New Brunswick, E5R1B6...
Add me please :)
Just ordered my new river yesterday.. first uq for me!
This stuff is addictive!
Stuffing the pockets may work for some... I just don't carry enough stuff to do it and I don't like the thought of putting leaves our other things in my hammock... I don't want to even touch the...
Hi all,
I'm on my phone and the search function doesn't seem to be working right for some reason. What suspension are you using with the nx-250? I've read a bunch about straps, whoopies etc.,...
I've only had one night in my 250 so far, it dropped to around 34f (1 or 2c) and I was really glad I had a pad in the hammock. That being said, the weathershield does an amazing job of keeping you...
Hi again,
I've been doing a ton of reading on underquilts, having come to the conclusion that pads work, but every review seems clear that underquilts are better, easier, warmer, smaller... etc. ...
Just wondering where to get ccf pads in Canada like gossamer gear stuff. They only seem to ship to the states according to their website
Thanks
Thanks, that's really helpful. How low have you been able to take this system? And if you have the underquilt can you use the pockets on the hammock still?
I had a pad in my hammock, but never considered laying directly on it... how do you keep the pad from shifting?
So with the 2/3 length how do you keep your legs and feet warm?
Do you still need a pad, or is there another option?
Morning all,
I made it through the night... but barely!
It got down to 35 last night... woke up a few time having to adjust for warmth, my sleeping bag isn't rated for that cold, fortunately...
Thanks for the tip on hang, its looser than it looks since I put a shock cord non-structural ridgeline inside to hang stuff from. That keeps the top looking straighter than it is I think.
I'm...
by the way, its all thanks to Hammock Forums... I didn't even know jungle hammocks existed before finding this place... you folks are a huge help.
My hammock, my setup and my pad design (yes, I...
so the nx-250 is hung up in the backyard, complete with fully adjustable guylines that can be set from under the tarp when it is raining... I love it :)
single pole porch even... yes I know its...
Thanks for the ideas folks. I've ordered a single adjustable ridgeline, but I'm actually asking about the best attachment method for the side tie-outs.... guess my question wasn't as clear as I...
next question, I've been looking at other threads on attaching the guylines to the tarp, what method do you guys recommend for easy adjustability and quick setup?
Had a chance to setup the 250 again last night. I found a couple of trees that were a bit further apart than last time which seemed to help, I'm wondering if the first attempt was too close...
Hi all,
My new (read first) hammock arrived yesterday while I was out on a hike (figures right!). Even though I was tired and sore I had to get out in the yard and play with it, had some fun...

Hi All,
Been lurking for a few weeks since I discovered that you could camp with a hammock... I started hiking a couple years ago with a friend, now I've got the bug, but I hate sleeping on the...
