Hello HF!
I've come to the conclusion that winter camping for me will no longer happen as I have too many winter activities going on. So my loss is your gain.
I have a NEVER USED outdoors 0*...
Hello fellow NEHHA hangers! I've been out of the hiking world for a while from a hectic travel schedule for work, so I need back in....therefore count me in!
I'll be keeping an eye on this as well. From great barrington NB is practically my back yard. So work schedule (travel) permitting I may join up with you for a few days, and meet up with you on your...
Welcome to HF from your neighbor to the west! We have a hang coming up in February that you're welcome to come to and meet some fellow local hangers!

Come one, come all!
I pmed a few members and they sounded interested, some couldn't committ this far out. Should we pick a date late feb/early march so people may be more likely to committ or know if they have something...
Welcome to HF from your neighbor to the south! Hope to see you at a group hang sometime in the near future.
Interested as well!
Any chance you could talk to them about possibly letting us have a hang there sometime late February, early march?
That looks like an excellent spot nighthauk! Whereabouts is it in chesterfield? Anywhere near the gorge?
That should be a good hike/hang. Hoping to make this more of a car camping group hang, but if the numbers don't show we can always turn it into a hike and hang!
Weekend bump. anybody else?
The tarps can be somewhat short looking when you hang them...can't really tell without seeing a picture. I had a similar eno tarp for my first tarp and it always looked short to me but I never got...
Depending on how many people we have planned to come I know Mt Greylock is always an option. But I'm open to any and all suggestions as well.
Anybody wanna help try and get a winter hang going? Maybe shoot for a February or March hang?
Got an REI gift card and already spent it! Ordered a MSR Whisperlite for my ever improving winter setup, a repair kit for the stove, and a 20 fl. Oz. fuel bottle and a SP 600 (with hot lips).
Ct/ny camping is good for me too as I'll be starting a new job working in ct starting mid January.
Is this a NEHHA sanctioned event? Haha  I should be free that weekend so count me in at this point!
I'll keep an eye on this. Any weekends after the 9th of Jan should be good for me as long as there won't be travel for work. Abe Hellen and camels hump are some nice peaks (camels hump is my favorite.
The eno singlenest is what I used for most of the Long Trail. I'm around 5'10" and it works for me but not as roomy as a HH. Agree with previous post about bugs, I did 2/3 of the LT in June/July and...
Tentatively on the calendar.....I hope I can make it this year!!
What's up fellow nehha members. Haven't been around much. Busy busy! Weekend of the 24th would work for me. I'll keep an eye on this when I get the chance. Hope all is well.
Greylocks one of my favorite local spots to hike! Glad the trip went well.
Love the LT! I plan on spending another week on it at some point later this summer!
Welcome from a fellow hanger from MA! Hiked the whole LT last summer....feel free to hit me up if you have any questions! Welcome to HF!
Bit the bullet and bought 2 hooks and a pair of flyz to setup on both of my tarps!
Check out this google doc It has members listed by state. Shoot one of them a PM and I'm sure you'll find someone that will be more than willing to help you get setup! And btw...welcome to HF!
Welcome to HF from your neighbor to the....north! Glad to see hammocking is working out for you. Hopefully we can catch up at a group hang sometime.
Welcome to HF from your neighbor to the east! There are plenty of hangers around the northeast and I believe there's quite a few from NY. Keep your eye out in the hangout section of the forums for...
"Its in the truck..."
Sorry....had to
Had a great time putting faces to names and swapping stories and laughs of past times. To be honest I was scared of the spam cookoff :scared: but after tasting the delicious meals I found I was...
