Sorry to say, I will not attend since I have covid 19. Hope y'all have a great time.
My local store showed 6 in stock, but when I got there: NONE! (I found an empty display box) I did manage to score 2 from elsewhere, though, thanks to Max.
I hope so...it's been too long.
Sorry, but I won't be there. I have to work that weekend.
...so what date did we decide on? Gotta put in for the time off and hope I get it.
I'd say so! :shades:
Actually, I might be able to make it October 18-20.

October doesn't look good for me.
Tell me about it! :shades:
I guess we better discuss the spring hang details rather than problems with our traditional hang site.
I will leave the question of when up to y'all. Like last year, I'm not sure...
One ply ?? Can you really call it glamping if you have to bring twice as much TP. Stick with the 2 ply.
...and don't forget the hammock ! ;)

Sorry for your loss also, Kirk.
So sorry to hear about your dad, Jim. Sounds like he was a truly awesome person.
To heck with "taking care of business"- I'm coming anyway.
Hopefully, I'll see y'all before dark.
Sorry to say, I'm not going to make it this time, either. :( Some things have popped up that I've got to take care of. Hopefully, I'll see y'all this winter or spring.
Will do.
Who's ready to hang! I know I am-it's been too long. Can't wait to see all my old friends and maybe meet some new ones too.
Same place as always: Wolfpen Camp on Cranal road, just outside the...
Wish I could be there, but I'm stuck in town this weekend.
Unfortunately, it's the same for the squidbilly crew: we can't hang. It's the last weekend before we close on our Chattanooga house, and we have too much to do, yet. We are planning on visiting...
No problem, Tammy - you didn't know. Bebop got sick toward the end of December and slowly declined until his kidneys shut down in January. We had to put him down January 23. You are right; he was a...
Like Thomas said: 206-Thompson Creek Trail. That creek valley runs north-south, so it gets more early season sunlight. Go now-flowers probably blooming everywhere.
BTW, as for digging a hole at...
Hello Friends! I'm really hoping I can make it to THE Hang. We've been really busy with the house search-it's taken a lot longer than I thought. But hopefully we will be closing on Friday, the 13th...
Sure wish I could! I'll be starting a new job in Chattanooga in Feb. Still gotta find a place to stay.
A big Thank You to all the Mississippi folks for your hospitality. I had a great time at this hang and I hope I can make it to the spring hang.
Remember, if anyone wants one of those fuel bottles I...
Got it! You'll arrive before me, but don't worry-I'll be there.
Not certain, but I think there are some backcountry sites off the DeSoto Scout Trail where you can hang. Don't know about the campground, if I remember correctly it is mostly developed sites.
PM...
Todd has said: "Hammock hangs are gatherings where old guys sit around the campfire and talk about recipes and sewing".
Paul, I've got them covered. I will bring at least two extra complete set-ups.
I do most of my sewing on a treadled Necchi Supernova BF. (straight stitch only)157340
I have a Necchi Supernova BU (zig zag) set up with Ray Way thread for doing bar tacks in webbing.
Another source of parts: http://shop.sew-classic.com/
My wife is a quilter too. She loves her 301s and 221s.

I only took three pictures, and one was of a car.
Don't worry, next time we'll take some "shortcuts".
Any of you DIYers interested in fabric scraps? I've made a lot of tarps, so I have lots of silnylon and silpoly scraps. Most are right-triangle shaped pieces of varying lengths. Good for practicing...
Here's what you need: a Grizzbeak

I have a few (DIY) cluttering up my gear closet, if you want one, it's yours for the postage.

Just a few days away! Anybody else really looking forward to this hang?
Yay Skippy, glad you can make it! That sounds great-especially the firewood.
Sorry to hear that, Rick. I was hoping to see you and Sheri again. Congrats on the new job.
Sounds like y'all...
Yep, that was me. I'll bring the stove.
I hope y'all can make it, too. Not sure about great people, but you will see lot's of cool gear.
I think so. Bottom right on the map, next to section E.
I see from the official website that rock climbing is allowed. Anyone familiar with climbing areas / routes here?
Yay! Glad y'all are coming.
We thought y'all were coming last fall, so Max gathered up a bucket of acorns. We were planning on recreating the acorn battle that spontaneously erupted at...
Awesome, Chriss. I am not on-call that weekend, so it looks like I will be able to make it to my first Blackjack Hang!
I'll be there. You gonna drive up n down Cranal Road tossing out garbage?
