Much appreciated. I spend a LOT of time on EpidemicSound.com picking each song. I then use that song, do my edits and cuts to the music. In Part 2, you will see dozens and dozens of carefully...
if you are going to be in SUPER humid and wet conditions, after your first good soaking in paraffin, try slight ruffling up and resoaking a second time. Keep that batch separate, you won't always...
Thanks KSC, I really enjoy making videos and everything that goes along with it. I'm even more thrilled that this past year, I figured out I could combine that passion with my passion for...
THANK you so much, more on the way. Always feel free to comment or critique. I'm always looking to improve, and having a community to see your adventures and then let you know a technique or...
THANKS Sidney, that's very encouraging and I really appreciate that. There will be more videos coming :-)
Looks like you are also in Georgia, I'm always looking for the next trail to go on. Been...
Always gotta give credit where it's due. Did you notice I tried to do the "hello everybody, <dutch> here" and at the end, "thank you everybody" LOL.. That video was a ton of fun. I can't wait...
Hey Spiguyver, I've watched many of your videos. My other account is subscribed to your channel. But I went ahead and subscribed with Hangs4Fun channel too. You are almost to 3,000 subs!!!
Thanks Shug, that means a lot. I'm still finding myself giving you a shout out in half of my videos. Seems like at least a 1/3 that I know about hammocking is from you, another 1/3 from this great...
WOW, looks like the Alps...
Absolutely stunning scenery, just beautiful. Thanks for sharing, I just added Oregon to my "Must Hang" list, :-)
I subscribed to your channel, great stuff!!
We had just gotten over a foot of snow and had a warm day to melt most of it, but still got into the lower 20's with a healthy wind (not -20 degrees or such that my friends from the north do, but...
Thanks, I really appreciate that. Thank goodness 95% of my Dutch bling is actually on all of gear, or that Dutch bling "p0rN" part would have been 5 minutes long ;-)
Just published a winter...
ADKGuy, thank you SO MUCH, for that ;-)
I JUST published Part 1 of our solo overnight winter hammocking trip I went on. Using my field equipment I mentioned above, I'm happy with the results. I...
WOW, I just realized kitsap, you already made it! Wow, looks great, is that the Chameleon bug net on top of it? If so, then the sidecar or ANY of the Chameleon add'ons should work. Well done...
...
As much as Dutch's gear has improved my hammocking experience and how he very fairly prices everything, I would be honored. But it would be hard to replace his "short and sweet" video's, that give...
With Dutch's Vision zipper, a thread injector, and some injecting skills, you could absolutely retrofit this to accept a sidecar (potentially even the bug net and top option, depending on the length...
Thanks Bizzz, much appreciated. I don't normally do Gear Reviews, but I was on Dutch's (Thom's) YouTube channel earlier in the week and saw that he was bummed/curious about some thumbs down he...
Yes, I shoot in 24fps (except I shoot my slowmo in 120fps). Most of the video was shot on my Sony a7R Mark III with 16-35 G Master lens. I shoot my "B Roll" on my Sony a6500, except the times I...
Fantastic accessory you came up with Dutch!!! The Chameleon is now my perfect hammock (though I'm still trying to figure out how I can zip on a "foot box" at the end. I think it is possible, but...
Hey Tikker, Dutch already made one, so I didn't show that on this gear review. Though I do "How To's" and Tips and Tricks from time to time, which almost always involves Dutch bling somehow ;-)
...
Would greatly appreciate it if you give 'er a look over and give me some feedback ;-)

It's my...
Here is my version of a gear review. I don't like watching all of those boring gear reviews that just tell you all the specs you already know. So I tried to be entertaining, yet informative, and...
Dutch was going to add the Beetle Bugs (NOT the same thing as the Cinch bug) to his site after the kick-started ended for his new Chameleon hammock. I couldn't find it, but you can still but it,...
If you use the new Dutch beetle bug for your suspension attachment/adjustment, it supports the use of a "spreader bar". That allows you to hang both hammocks on the same two trees and share a tarp....
What is a sewing machine? I wonder if it is anything like the Thread Injectors we refer to on this site :-)
LOL
I live on the west side of Atlanta, GA in Villa Rica. I tried updating the spreadsheet, but the place I work, blocked it.
Not only will you learn from Shug's videos you will be highly motivated to get out there and do it.
This site has all the details needed to have a fun, safe, solid backpack trip
Happy Hang'en
Welcome Jen from the west side of Atlanta.
Great job Thread injecting... Now to work with some slippery tarp material ;-)
Another Scout, awesome :-)
Feel free to ask any questions. I too was a Scout in the 70's, and now a leader. My son is working on his Eagle rank and I'm a 92-72 wood badge Fox.
A LOT has changed...
Welcome, feel free to ask any questions
Welcome and good luck being able to camp again.
You've come the right place for sure. Watch the Shug's videos on YouTube, especially the essential series
Welcome, How's it Hang'en? LOL
Your intro reminded me of one of my favorite Tolkien quotes from Lord of the Rings:
"Not all those who wander are lost."
And when you see how much Cuben fiber...

Wow @Just Bill
You are like the Alton Brown of quilting! Thanks for the detailed response. :). Many things I was wondering about you touched on!!
Dang it. I should have known WV would know a trick on using a ykk#3 coil zipper as a separating one. I am definitely happy with that zipper it just didn't come in a long enough separating one. But...
132" seems to be the "new 120", very comfy and roomy (I'm 6'3" and 225 pounds). As for width as much as you can get out of it, for this material you should get 58" finished
I'm not sure how to type the sound a whistle makes but here it goes..
"Phweet phew"
Good stuff. I love the smell of Argon in the morning..
Hmmm. Well then you could just order the YKK#3 coil zipper from thru-hiker. I bought 100 foot and a couple dozen slides. You could just do a 240-265" zipper that starts and ends at the bishop bag....
Forget all my request... For the love of God keep your genius juices flowing towards a TI Dutch cinch buckle!!
I want 4 pair as soon as you have them available. Just send me a PayPal invoice...
I'm a big fan of the channels that are well thought out and a similar pattern of delivery on each video. Course any Shug type flavor you can add really makes the difference between the teacher that...
I third that!
Though we will give you a pass as you are cranking out a lot hammocks each with a life time appreciation for the outdoors..
ScottyDale.. Discovering your dad was a closet thread injector.... Priceless. :-). That ole machine has a hundred years left and what you are doing with your son is awesome!
GrannyPat, I was...
Just lay down a lot of triple stitches and you will be on to your second in no time...
Thanks Syb that was the EXACT article I was referring to..
Every time I think of what you have undertaken here...just wow! Well done.
I wish I could figure out how to do the same thing for all my boys as a transition project for them as they go from...
