I haven't been around in ages. Last hang I went to was in Moclips about a decade ago. Not sure if I will have any time for meetup this winter, or if I will even go camping at all.

Too funny. We got a boat last year and I ended up dusting off my old sewing machine for the same reason.
Hahahahaha! I didn't even see that.
Would have been nice to have had a wench around!
FYI, I was wearing your shirt when I set that up.
Earlier the same day:

The winch suspension made sense considering the line is Amsteel Blue!
Spent the past weekend in the Cascades with a couple friends. It was sunny and warm the entire trip. I had my DIY heavy duty dual layer hammock, walmart foam pad, synthetic 30*f mummy bag and a Yukon...
Looks like you guys had fun! Getting married and putting a bun in the oven has taken over my life but I'm hoping to make it out next year!
Bellingham here. I'm down.
I only ask because I love your editing style and I think that would really take things up a notch.
I do not like bridges. Far too much shoulder squeeze for me to get comfortable.
When are you getting the Hero 3?
You're Dutch but you sound almost British in that video.
Sincerely,
A Van Zwol
PS: love your gear.

Just two lonely hammocks. I need to get them more friends.

XTrekker is not a true believer!!!
Sounds like every other payday.
My BD Neutrino carabineers were rated at 24k kilonewtons, or 5280 lbs, and were $6 a piece.
The discount is applied after you add the item to your cart. Select the royal blue color.
A couple times in high winds I have double staked my guy lines beaus rocks/roots wouldn't allow me to use one long stake.
One thing to be wary of is posting "Just raising my post count." On many boards that would be considered spamming.
I've shied away from using hardware because the ease of setting it up leads to being lazy. So far, my diligence in always making myself tie knots has kept me from ever hitting the ground.
But I...
Oh man, I wish I could justify the H1.

I made a double later out of the Joann stuff and it is bomb proof. Not the lightest by any means, but I can bounce and jump around in it with no Worries.
What? We've had 2 solid days of rain in Bellingham!
You need to use sticks like SS pointed out. My buddy has one. I don't think it is comfortable.
For aches and pains: epsom salt in a bath as hot as you can stand.
I'm jealous of your backyard.
Cuz all the cool kids have more than 50 posts!
You had best take care of that knee of yours! We expect shugnanigans for years to come!
I would have to differ.
Tarp = tent
hammock = Earth
I've had 315 lbs in my hammock with 7/64 whoopies.
I've been curious about that as well. The reflective pieces seem quite sharp.
I just toss everything below me on a small piece of plastic. only thing that worries me is a raccoon seeing something of mine that is shiny.
I have to wait another 9 hours before I get to watch this. The wife would end me if I watched it without her.
Very nice!
I'm way jealous!
still sunny and in the 60's here in the PNW. Really odd this time of the year.
1 lb, 1 oz of down in 3/4 underquilt sounds like a bit much.
Zugcat used one at the Western Washington hang. It was around 50 degrees f that night and he said he wasn't cold.
Great stuff, Fronkey. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and shared these videos with many of my non-hammocking friends, and they enjoyed them as well.
Keep it up.
Dang. Sorry Wolf.
Looks great, Paul!
I wouldn't use anything less than 3/8" for a truck. 1/4" would be good for an ATV.
You always want the cable to be rated higher than the winch internals.
I did over 4 hours one-way last weekend for a one night stay. I thought it was completely worth it.
If you have a local builders supply store check there. The place near me sells 2 and 4 foot widths by the foot.
They think your roughing it until they are up at the crack of dawn stretching their stiff backs and hips while you're still sound asleep. then you wake up a couple hours later Completely refreshed...
