That's actually a good point. When I have the SuperFly pitched with the doors closed, it is fairly easy to mistake it for a large A-frame tent. I had one guy tell me about 4 times how nice my 'tent'...
Yeah, that's the same way it is out here with the Parks. I guess the issue is the State Parks see more usage by 'party campers', the Forests are usually reserved for the more, ummmm, hardy folk....
Well, that's kind of a different situation.
If a State doesn't allow dispersed camping, then I guess that would be a problem. I have not run into any that don't allow dispersed camping,...
Just a thought.
In my experience, the 'rule' only applies at the campgrounds or designated sites. Probably wouldn't be an effective argument with a Ranger that has already made up his/her mind, but...
