I can't speak about the fishing... it sounds like you have a pretty solid plan though. Enjoy your trip.

It's a nice trail. I did it last month and it was pretty clear. There are bridges at all the water crossings, and outhouse facilities at a couple of places along the trail. They ask that you camp...
I actually make a long UCR and use that as a ridge line. That way I have a little adjustability until I can get it dialed in like I like it.
Whoopies make life fun, but for ease of use I would...
Thanks. It has grown to quite a usable tutorial, especially with all the great additional information from all the other users.
Rat takes some nice pics.... That's my good side :)
Hey Sarge... I don't think I'm going to be able to get out there this year. You guys have a great weekend and stay safe.
:) Looking forward to seeing you and yours buddy.
I wouldn't miss it. I was moving a bit slow last year (jager and malibu... old enough to know better... too stupid to care). I'll attempt to pace myself a bit this year.
BUT.... Most of you...
Looks like you got a pretty good group lined up this year, but let me clear up a few things here....
1. It is possible to carry in a cooler (if you have your priorities right.... and don't need...
Payment received. Thanks.
Sold to 2eez4life pending funds.
I have two of them and want some new toys :)
Payment received. This post can be closed.
I'll have to weigh it when I get home, but if I remember correctly its around 11.5 oz or so. (this was actually one of the early runs of the camo... it's actually a bit lighter than what Marty can...
Sold to woody pending funds.
Looks like any other green/black flight jacket, but if it's not sold by the time I get home I'll take some pics :)
Excellent condition, always stored uncompressed. Green outer, black inner. Standard length.
Edited original post to note price. Thanks CC for pointing that out.
11' Tadpole is in great condition. Comes with matching camo door kit, WL skins, zing it lines with dutch flys and mini line loks. $160 Shipped in the US.
Another great hang! Can't say enough great things about this group. Thanks again to all that help make this such a great event! Looking forward to next year already. :)
I agree that a hang is the best place to get knowledge from those that have already dealt with the trial and error of setting up. But... If you can't make a hang, there are lots of great videos that...
Ok... I'm going to bringing a hacky sack, so if there are any old hippies that want to play a bit, come hunt me down in the ghetto and we can attempt to hurt ourselves. :)
Good Times! That was when I started to figure out that Spidey is a pretty shady looking character. :)
Sarge... I'm not sure what you're getting at, but I keep Reggie clean cut for just for this reason! :)

It might be a bit tricky rigging up a tarp, but I'm sure it could be done. I personally haven't tried it.
Sarge... You forgot to mention that the dogs are officially trail named... Barky and Yappy! :) This should be a fun trip.
That wasn't me snoring... It was Reggie! You can ask him, he won't deny it. :)
Looking like it's gonna be another great turnout. Looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new...
Hey... Is this going to be an opportunity for me to get stupid? If so... I'm in! :)
Being that this is a family friendly event.... I'll try to get the same spot I've been in for the last few years so that we don't disturb the other campers. :)
Well... It looks like I'm going to have to miss this one. I will miss it, but you guys don't hold back just because I'm not around :)
Seriously though, have fun and be careful.... It can get...
Sounds like a fun trip. Glad you all made it back in one piece. Thanks for the pics.
It's a nice trail. There are tress, but we were trying to hang a group, and found it to be a bit difficult to find optimal spots for everyone. Have a great trip and wear good shoes (the rocks are...
Nice. Glad I could help
I'd like to know what Spacey had to do to get promoted to "The Lake" group?
Made me LOL! You know you're in trouble when the 4loco starts to taste ok.
Ooooo.... Please don't bring the "loco". That's just bad news.
"If you ain't pukin', you ain't campin'!" (it's not for everybody, but it works for me)
I don't think I could live with myself if I let you all get lost in the woods without me. Besides.... Who's gonna chum for coons if I don't show up?
I'll bring some of my awesome salsa for those...
I agree... The 11' is perfect for pretty much any situation. The tadpole is my favorite tarp, and with the door kit, you should be able to handle pretty much anything.
The lite owl is one of the most comfy hammocks I have owned (and I've owned quite a few). Others have come and gone, but the Lite Owl will be in my house from now on. (I actually sold it once and...
Watching. I'll let you know for sure as the date gets a bit closer.
Awesome. Glad it did what it was supposed to. Sounds like a great first outing :)
Nice. Is there a reason you chose the 3/4 over the full? Do you do a lot of hiking? I'm just curious. WL makes a great product and you won't regret your purchase.... Plus, Marty is good people...
Lol... The SS are great quilts. (mountainhanger wants some new quilts.... deserves some new quilts.... heck, "NEEDS" some new quilts) :)
No, I don't get a cut of the sales, I just really like...
Are you driving up from Austin? Did you have any place specific in mind? I'm already scheduled to go out next weekend, so I don't think I can get away this weekend as well, but post up what you are...
Nice. Night time rain is my favorite white noise for sleeping. Looks like a good test.
I'm not saying that it only happens with CRL, but everytime I saw a post about a WL tarp that leaked, I pm'd the person and every single one of them (about 6 or 8) were using a CRL. I think a CRL is...
I haven't found it to be needed. I've heard reports of dripping, but it seems that only happens with a CRL.
I've used them to open up the hammock a bit. It helps keep the netting off your face and whatnot.
I loved my tadpole so much I bought another one! :) Marty is good people.
Love my tadpole. Marty is doing something right....when you see comments like these over and over.
