I have a TW 3 layer, which is great. I got one slightly wider than most as a custom build.
Build quality is brilliant and for the price I couldn't beat it. Plus you can email them any specific...
Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago, still haven't properly hung outside, but inside it replaces my diy UQ. It's got plenty of clips and adjustments and for the price it was worth a purchase.
It's...
What's the vehicle? Looks like plenty of room in the back.
Yes Bcuk is bushcraft uk, I once spoke to a manager at a site under the http://www.campingintheforest.co.uk group who didn't see an issue with hanging after I explained about proper tree straps for...
The only way to answer your questions is to try with what you have, come back here and search for answers to any issues you found. Thereby not spending more money that you might not need.

Found this on vimeo earlier,
I think it counts as an all season full time hanger...

Good idea +1
I had a net hammock but lost so many buttons on my shorts it became more annoying then relaxing. I've since had two nylon hangs that I can slide right into!
Saw this image in DIVE magazine. Credit goes to Uri Magnus Dotan.
But I had to share with you guys.
My understanding of the German language needs to go back to basics!
Very good work!
I've entered, need something to help get through work... When's my next hang!
I've just donated, A. I have thought about it for a while. B. I wanted to read this thread!
I never realised how much it unlocks, plenty of catching up to do!
That was great.
I love some of the songs and poems that have appeared on HF. Such a talented bunch.
I have put a spare quilt in the second layer, it saves having to store it elsewhere as a bonus.
Looks like a nice trip, with it being Scotland did you just rely on the freedom to roam act for access?
That's brilliant even hummed along whilst reading!
Great video production.
I think the general consensus is that if you get a full size hammock then the child can grow up into. Plus you won't have to buy again in a few years when they outgrow a smaller one.
I have a Tenth Wonder storm tarp, although it doesn't have doors, it has Velcro part way down for added protection.
That plus the mosquito net, blocking any draft makes my hang very comfy, I...
Well hung sir,
The tricky decision is to stay or flee when it strikes so close!
My better half works shifts, when she is rotated onto working overnight I hang all night, if she is home at 2am I will hang from 10pm then move to our bed when she gets home.
Except sometimes I...
Welcome to the forum,
I have a TW hang as well, great bit of kit!
That looks amazing, I guess if your high enough in the canopy you'll get the best view of the sunrise in the forest. Unless your so comfy you just sleep through till late!
All I can add is another "Wow! That is pink!"
Would it work as a bear deterent? Hehe
I use a vango planet 50, and just lay it on top of me. Packs down to a tiny size which was the main reason for getting it.
What a great video, I'm very impressed on the lightweight packs you carried for a ten day hike!
Brilliant "that looks high end" made me chuckle.
cheers for all the ideas. I'm liking the bottle sling idea, maybe i just like learning new knots!
So here in the uk we have some rather hot weather so my best solution is to hang in the backgarden with some cider,
but this has lead me to thinking has anyone got a clever solution for keeping...
So ive had the stand up for a while now, sleeping both indoors and hanging outside. The stand has held up well and the little wheel makes moving it quite simple.
Ive had to hang my TW hammock with...
Plus 1 on the merino wool, it's great for low temps and dries super quick.
If you ever see them on sale (end of season/summer sale) snap a couple up.
Haha love the batman sighting,
All these photos of tribes make me realise how common hangers are!
South Yorkshire hanger here as well.
Just watch out with those tie down straps, they are not strictly safe for hanging as they cannot be locked down, may be a cause for slippage in the night when the temps drop.
Nice views!
Did you just wrap your straps over the horizontal beams or vertical supports? Can't quite tell from the angle.
So curiosity got the better of me, as the plane was taxiing to the gate, I was on the ikea app to find the nearest store and if it was in stock! With a 4mile detour I am home and just need a clear...
I saw this appear on Giz yesterday and wondered how long it would take to filter onto here!
I do wonder how the editors are credited with having a grip on the "latest" news of the world and they...
Great report, thanks for going through your kit like that.
Hope you don't mind but I have borrowed your picture for my desktop.
Such a great image.
I found that if I pulled the ridgeline back on itself and double fisherman knotted it then I can get it tight enough.
I have to agree with you on the price, you get a lot of hang for your buck. ...
Just wanted to put up here a quick review of my latest delivery, a Tenth Wonder Hornet Hammock Double Long (3 layer) zip model.
Here it is hanging, i had to add a loop through the channel to hang...
I would love to give this ago! Plus it's educational with all the maths involved!
So true! I haven't seen it anywhere else except this forum, and that's just this week!
I need a job change,... I would love a lunch break! Hehe
I made an [o]TTeR chair the other day, but I'm liking how you've made the foot rest, mine is still a work in progress project for me!
I like your "naked" wood look as well.
Still work in progress... But it's together and supports me.
Perfect for watching my 4ft wide "telly" screen.
...
Just placed an order for a hornet 3layer and sargasso storm tarp. Looking forward to my next chance to try it out!
So I finally got some time to build mine the other day, excuse the mess of a garden, it's currently having a renovation.
I used a 4.2metre as the ridgeline as I can't easily get hold of a garden...
What a great "personal" space that creates!
