i have been trying to get the supplies together to make a 'modern' m1965...i was thinking of a bridge hammock base..funny, there is a guy from thailand on ebay selling new hammocks that...

i use my army 'all-in-one' hammock and just hold the attached tarp/mossy net up with my trekking poles.....
the funny thing is, it is too noisy to sleep in my back yard. i usually make it to around 2am and end up back in the house....LOL!
check out the dollar stores for the small solar yard lights. i only use the 'top' and toss the spike etc. they also work as battery chargers.
