Oak Mountain has about 50 miles of trails, but non-campground camping is scarce.

We have two scouters that hang, and about 3 scouts (my son and a couple more) that occasionally hang.
Cacheneer from another hobby, geocaching. Also, my profession. I am an electrical engineer by trade.
No trail name yet, I don't hike enough or as much as I would like.

My first real hanging was in the Sipsey area. I can't help you with suggestions as I was also hiking in the big tree, eye of the needle area. The troop I hiked with is probably going back next year.
Just barely able to post in this thread. I made it to 50 last year. I have just started hanging, but I like the fact that the rocks I am too lazy to pick up don't poke me in the back like they did...
