Did you find the leaks?
If it is a valve issue, thermarest makes a replacement valve kit that is easy to use and works great.

I also received mine yesterday.
Does anyone know if it is still on display?
Which color did your order for that price?
I came across this today after seeing a random picture of TrailH4x's and want to thank him for a great design. I know that the OP is old, but it is new to me.
I plan to build one when I get some...
I would get a winter UQ and look at something like a DIY no sew PLUQ for summer use.
I got an email after I ordered that the hammock would be shipped direct from the warehouse, so that is probably the reason for the different shipping.
I got a tracking number yesterday and it has been processed at a USPS facility.
I took Cannibal's advice and a few other members and have double my number in a few days.
It says it will hold 400 pounds on Byers website

I also liked the idea of the jeep camper until I saw the price ($53,500) http://www.gizmag.com/jeep-action-camper-/21408/
That is a nice looking project.
Did you add any insulation or did you just use what came with the kit?
That is a really nice looking hammock.
Name is CamperMade.

Just checked out the order status and it still shows awaiting shipping
I sent Scott an email earlier today and got a response within a hour
I have not made it to a group hang yet, but I have gear envy after all the research I have been done on UQ and Tablecloth hammocks.
I just wanted everyone to know that Scott sent me an update on the IX material.
I just found a supplier that will have some IX this afternoon so I have to decide if I order enough for the PLUQ or IX quilt.
Any update on the IX?
Thanks
Mark
I have been reading and reading all the information about the two different UQ and can not decide which one to make. Does either one have an advantage or is it just availablity of materials that...
The new deal is "Free Shipping and Fall 40% off Sale ends 10/20/12"
Welcome,
I just added your website to my favorites.
I got the same email with a ship date of 10/28. Then about an hour later I received another email that said my order was awaiting shipment.
I was in such a rush with the hammock that I did not even look at other gear, but I am headed back to the site to see what else I might need.
It works for the green one also.
I just ordered a GT UL for my son from greenlife outfitter for $11.99 including free shipping. :)

The deal was still working this morning, I just ordered an UL for my son.
That's a great looking quilt.
This is a great thread and I am really interested in everyones ideas.
I understand Cannibal. I do ask questions and offer my experiences when I can, but I guess I have been doing so much research on different things from insulation to how to make a tablecloth hammock...
I am 6' and 210 and I sleep just fine in mine.
They look great!! I have serious gear envy.
At the present my post count is not very high, but I think what I am learner from everyone on HF is helping. I am still too much of a noob to be able to contribute to most of the discussions.
I guess I should pay more attention and check the date on the OP because this is almost two years old.
If you use a poncho liner with a poncho it beats a wool blanket hands down.
I have spent many a night in below freezing temperatures with just a poncho and liner.
Has anyone received an email from HH about the additional products they are going to put on sale?
and another
I am new to hanging, but why would you have to modify your HH to use the Atlas straps? I thought they were just made from a different material than the HH tree straps.
I am lucky to live on a small farm off of a gravel road. It is quiet in the area except for the animals (wild and domesticated) and the occasional helicopter flights into the secret government...
Good luck with your project.
Great site and the best part is that it is not blocked at work.
I am in the same boat as you, but I decided to bite the bullet and go with a down UQ. I figure with the amount of time I spend camping with the scouts and without that it is worth the expense.
I did not get a chance to order last night but I am looking at the eggplant and my son wants one also.
If it looks good it will be a great conversation piece at the next Boy Scout campout. I may even get some of the scouts of the ground.
Thanks
I guess I will be ordering a tablecloth when I get home tonight. I will attach pictures when I complete the project.
I am thinking about getting another hammock and I can't decide if I should make it or buy it. I am looking at the Byer Traveller lite ($15.93at REI) or maybe a DIY Tablecloth hammock. I do not want...
I have been looking at UQ and Underground Quilts has it as an option to add to their products.

Good luck with your surgery,
I had orthroscopic replacement of both my ACL and MCL with cadaver ligaments about 17 years ago. I have not stopped any activities and actually completed in a bicycle...
