Oh the joyous feeling to have new quilts arrive, that's when you realze how small a set of down quilts can be packed.
I do not use a CRL, my fishing buddy does. The CRL has it's place amont thoes that prefer to adjust after hanging the CRL, but for me I can get it close enough to suit me (with occasional...
I use the tarp to catch pollin, that helps me sleep better.
I built a set of 2X2 tripods that I used 2 nights sofar without any visible problems (300#), mine are drilled and tied 6" from the top.
I didn't realize the south end is only by reservation (weekend only). Will we have access on Friday evening?
I wish mine had a sewn footbox. The color combo looks good!
I purshased a used diy with a sewn foot box, and a used hammock gear 20 with snaps. I definately prefer the sewn foot box, because you have to find something to plug the hole at the cinch cord. I...
I just wrote on the end of the double ended bag with a silver sharpie to indicate head end of hammock.
Did you reserve the North or South camping area?
Thanks for the invite. We'll be there (2~4) depending on others schedule.
Thanks again,
Just-bobby
I prefer a light inner / dark outer color on my top quilt, It's easier to find the inside of the TQ when it's near dark outside. Just throwing my .02 in the pot.
Wow, this thread came to a stop!
I'll be there!
Maskedmedic did your quilts arrive?
Anyone hanging in the panhandle this weekend?
Is that for north or south?
Cargo net from an Army Surplus, might work.
3 bridges rd
My snapped footbox doesn't close all the way, so I plugged it with a piece of silk to keep it from venting when Iwant to trap the heat.
Just hang a spare bridge hammock underneath! It will catch you if you fall!
I'm getting a 404 error when I click the link? So I can't order any:(
Oops didn't see the 2nd page of comments, looking fwd to the newer new design soon.
Life scout, thanks for the info, I was thinking of oversized holes at the top and using an arrow shaft sleeve for reinforcement for the lumber, because I have extra amsteel.
Thanks for the info!
Not sure if I'd trust pvc for me!
Who had the portable hammock stand tied with blue amsteel? I'm trying to get specs to build a couple .
Thanks,
Just-bobby
I don't mind if you like peppers, but please don't wish them on my subs or pizza!
Thanks,
Just-bobby

I also use a ground mat, it helps keep ground debris out of the hammock.
Is there a leather sheath? Can you post a pic of the other side of the sheath?
I'll take the superfly.
I have a 20 degree Zirkel, that I have used as a Top quilt (no mods) the excess bottom material just tucks on the side(and helps prevent drafts along that edge). I do not plan on cutting it due to...

Are the tq & uq 10f plus 4oz overstuff or calculated to 10f?

It has an 11' ridgeline. 10' wide, 7'7 " long at ends of catnary cut along bottom edge, plus the doors. You could also call WarBonnet and speak to Brandon about your setup and needs, he has always...
I'm in! Thank you!
I also use 12 foot lines and the "V" when trees are close enough (most always in the south). I hang the Tarp first then center the hammock.
