Leaving in 10.
Reagan, from ASP just called me to confirm that A) there is no burn ban, and B) it's raining.:D
The pavilion is available, but is not immediately proximate to the sites we have reserved. He raised...
I'm bringing a 10x10 E-Z Up, and a couple of tarps. We'll cobble something together.
I'll call the park office when they open up to see if they have any kind of group pavilion available.
Edit:...
I'm getting 21, now.

Bring your rain gear!
Take care of your family...we'll still be here.
Here's a first cut on attendees. I've probably missed one or two, and inevitably, there will be some drop outs. Y'all check the list, and help me bring it up to date. Looks like 26 right now.

Here's a link to the NWS forecast for ASP.

I just called Atlanta to check on burn bans...none at this time. The man I spoke with (Regan) asked for my name and number and offered to call me if anything changes. He also said, "I heard y'all...
I have more boats than I do paddles and PFDs...anybody have extras?
Kat, Sandpiper, Tim, and I will paddle.
:D
Better yet, hip boots.
Guyz deserves the thanks. Without his groundwork, I'd of slit my wrists by now.
She already has everybody together, now that I told her we're a group. I was posting that more for those that have yet to make their resers.
They are looking forward to having us...I see a trend...
I just spoke with Jan @ Atlanta S.P. she is putting us in the water and electric sites @ Knight's Bluff...there are 8 sites total. It would probably be a good idea to call her after making online...
Yes, I was going to post something today. Ryan (Granger) won't be able to make it, so let's pot luck Saturday night.
Of course! We will look forward to meeting you.

Just reserved 2 sites x3 nights. Arriving on the 10th.
Atlanta it is. Make your reservations.
Thank you, Guyz.
Not hard to resolve, but I'd like everyone to be happy with what we come up with.
Thank you. I'd really like to get this settled.
Tim says Atlanta SP is wonderful, but he is unsure as to whether there are enough sites suitable for hanging. Anybody close enough to run over there and recon?
No reason, but a secondary issue for many is the degraded paddling opportunity at Caddo right now. As I understand it, you can't even get in the water.
This is giving me a headache.:(
River? Water?
Tim says he doesn't remember much about FP.
How did I get to be Tim's secretary???
This might work, if there are enough trees.
Tim and I are sitting in my living room batting this around, and haven't come up with anything that will handle a large group, other than Fairfield.
...
So, are you making a recommendation?
Sandpiper is going to call the park this morning, and see if something can be worked out. We may take you up on your offer, depending on what she learns.
I'm going to try to keep this proximate to the original site. If we get too far from that, it becomes too far for some that have signed on for Caddo.
I'm looking at Daingerfield. Tim has camped...
Atlanta SP, on Wright-Patman? Anybody?
I have never been to any of the places being discussed, other than Fairfield, and am reluctant to just pick one, hoping for the best. Tim will be here this afternoon...maybe he can shed a little...
i'd like to keep the guys from LA in the game.
Just got a discouraging email from Kat. Here's the text:
For your info my friend Danny says paddling in the lake is awful. The salvinia has taken over and lake water is down.
Danny...
I'm not that familiar with that part of LA/TX, so am looking for input. I would like to keep it close, so we don't lose people that have committed.
Suggestions?
That seems unlikely.
I hate to cancel this hang, but...
Uh-oh.:(
I never anticipated this in January.
How many have reserved a site?
The paddling @ Caddo is extraordinary. I plan to bring extra boats, and encourage others to do the same. So, if you don't have a boat, there's a good chance we can get you on the water anyway.
<fist bump>:)
Funny you should mention that. I was thinking about hiring a Louisiana caterer.
This time you take $. For real, dude.
Aye, fire ring, coffee pot, coupla yaks...
Lets welcome the New Year in.
