sorry Dutch, it works fine on a different browser. must be a problem on my end
FYI, the link is broken
I'm in love!
is this the same as Cuben?
low friction rings are very popular in sailing. good to see them used elsewhere
will do, cheers
I'm thinking of making it more permanent by adding sewn or glued tabs to all the corners
great idea!
I have UGQ quilts, really good quality gear.
good to know it'll work with a Ridge Runner
full net vs no net

ps. just got my new Tarpworms and Beetle Buckles. Even international shipping is fast!
I usually hang mine tight, as that seems to work for me
thanks guys
are they usable with a bridge hammock ie. RidgeRunner
If used correctly you'll be fine. Even used incorrectly mine lasted a while
while I love Dutchware, I think the RidgeRunner is already pretty good. you can zip the netting most of the way off, and the sock is better than just a top cover
Oh no, all the early bird offers are gone
edit: removed what is apparently a swear word
Actually, it's the difference between 3 days and 3 weeks :)
It works out to $45 Aussie pesos, we call it the Aussie "tax".
As for a solution, in the past I've sent to someone I know in the US, and then had them put it into ordinary post. It works out to...
Shipping to Australia is almost usd$36. I guess I'll pass this time
The descriptions are so long I can read them :/
She'd be soft, strong, and come in many different colours ;)
yeah, that's incorrectly rigged. the pull should be straight
here is one thread. there are heaps more, but c+p is not that easy on mobile
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f116/unveiling-the-new-bb-soft-shackle-155714.html
I only sacrifice the rare stuff ie. double speed hook :(
I should have mentioned that durability is the main concern, the length is not an issue
well I was considering 1/8th amsteel, so stronger material won't hurt
hey guys, I'm after suggestions on which hammock setup would be best on a boat. It's an 11m catamaran.
I was thinking something like Dutch's Netless in Hexon 1.6 ?
fwiw, there are a few great threads on Cruisers Sailing forum about soft shackles and other uses of dyneema/amsteel.
great stuff above, next step would be to find a local hang or friendly hanger so you can try stuff out. alternatively, diy or buy something low cost and try stuff in the back yard.
At the end if the...
Hello from Sydney
Welcome mate.
I'm from Sydney, but you'll find me in the high country twice a year. great area you have down there!
I'd prob buy silpoly given the choice again as I mostly car camp these days
btw, I like my cf tarp, but I've learnt the hard way it doesn't handle pole tips well (WBRR spreaders). thankfully it's easy to patch
to reduce translucency, get the camo cf.
I broke mine, but I was using it incorrectly, so my fault. looks like yours may have been incorrectly rigged too
hopefully the construction of most western buildings is slightly better than that ;)
another reason to be careful. bricks (pillars especially) are strong in compression, not side loading
heh, I've only had puke and pee.
yes, just use a gentle wash or use delicates bag. and go easy on detergent.
I put my ridge line under the cuben. I'm not to worried about wear coz I hang stuff from the ridge line which pulls it down
yes, direct from Warbonnet is best
I usually put mine under, but I use it to keep the net or sock out of my face
ShugInception
love my cuben tarp in camo
yeah same issue. rarely find an ideal location, and when we do, there's a fight amongst my friends for who gets dibs. still better than the ground
net style hammock would help, but I don't know of any decent ones
I could never sleep in my HH's. I bought an 11ft hammock from Dutchware for all of $30, and the difference is night and day!
