I completely understand the pride and swearing. And I also did make stuff not currently available such as my tandem bug net ...
So i was an avid hammock camper until about 2 years ago and life got in the way. So I now have free time and better funding for gear than back then. I went the MYOG route last time and greatly...
I had this posted a long time ago but didn't have any takers but I figured I would try again, The only reason I am posting this is due to the fact I have lost weight and this pack is too big for me...
can you pm me pictures? I actually tried that pack on while shopping for packs and really liked that one.
Bump this... boom
anyone? it is really nice
If I had to put a dollar amount on it it would be 175 tyd.
The atmos doesnt have a changeable belt.
Well I am sad to post this while happy to at the same time... the only reason I am posting this is due to the fact I have lost weight and this pack is too big for me now, when I tighten it on my...
I took a single pluq out at 41 one night and it was a bit chilling but I was able to somewhat sleep. But I also don't think all poncho liner are created equally lol. I have one in my closet I...
The verdict... it was super toasty. I had to vent my top quilt to stay comfy.
It is all in the pitch. But I have been successful. Like I said before 32 was borderline but 35 and 36 degree nights I slept like a baby. Granted this isn't a light weight option.
Yeah at 32 with 2 pluq's 4 layers I was on the border so I am hoping 3 of them 6 layers will be good at 25. I will have fleece jacket and sweats on standby lol.
Anyone? I know someone has.
Has anyone ever tried to see how cold a double layer pluq or triple layer plug will go? I have gone down to 32 in a two pluq's but this weekend I am going out in 25 degrees and will take 3 of them...
I will see what I can do
Going to test it like said and go from there. Thanks.
So I have quite a few yards of sil left over from making two tarps and a few sacks. and I can lighten my load by going to sil for a ground cloth and making a gear hammock/ground cloth/pack cover...
How small does it stuff down too?
I have gone down to 36 in mine but with a 45 degree bag as a top quilt... but I am a warm sleeper and I had on fleeces socks, pants, jacket, and beanie. with out the added clothes I would have had a...

I ship everything to my work... perks of a company with 5 employees. And one of the being a receptionist that is always there.
you would be surprised at having a bright hammock. Once you have a uq, tq, bugnet, and tarp over it you done really see the bright colors at all.
I have grey tarp and camo and grey tq and uq. But my hammock is blaze orange. My reason is for signaling in the event of a emergency.
One of the best parts of tandem hanging is it allows you to have a conversation with your partner before bed or during bad weather. In fact we could play cards while chilling in our hammocks.
If you have an other questions just ask. And I will try my best to answer them.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that on tandem hanging. You can gently get out of the hammock and slowly lower your wife down and not wake her up. As for me if my wife gets up in the middle of the night...
No problem man, but to answer your questions yes there is a see-saw action to the operation. But only on entry and exit, as for hanging you don't notice any vertical movement in it due to the fact...
In my experience with my wife it is easier to get her camping if I am within arms reach at night. Lol
I am out... Going on vacation to the smokies and then the beach that week. Sorry neo.
Well since my family has started hammocking we always hang in tandem, but with the weather heating up and the bugs trying to eat us whole bug nets are a must in TN. But that add to feeling more...
I took note of the dates and will have to see when it gets closer to time.
Sounds like ya'll had a good turn out. wish I could have made it. but I will be at the Aug. hang
70 is the average I was using based off of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_temperature
me at 70 doesn't cover up with a blanket either but my wife does depends on the person mostly. but you sir...
still you will have the weight of the tarp under the ridge so whatever sagging you will have on a normal ridge then you will have on a cat cut ridge.
Why would you want that? it should sew just fine, just still confused as to why?
I look at it this way... Most american are spoiled with heating and air and keep their house on avg. at 70. and at 70 you sleep comfortably on a mattress which insulates your bottom side and then you...
weight issue and over kill but will work. I tried it but ended up doing a normal fold in the end, no reason just did.
That's why I use photo bucket. Lol
OK cool I will look into it.
I don't see a thread for that one?
Neo you never posted pics.
well I was trying to make it but I just got too much against going to this one. The wife has finals next week, garden needs the other half planted, , wouldn't get there till 9-10 pm on Friday if I...
I would think you would need long spreaders. But should work.
Quarter inch.
