Really? The last concert I went to tour shirts were $30.
The color of the hammock depends on what I want to use. I have a Camo Hammock, Blue Gear Hammock, Olive Green Hammock, and Apple Green Hammock and a Couple of Brown Hammocks. I'm not trying to hide...
To be honest, I think I used a bugnet maybe twice with any hammock. I don't camp in the summer so never really had a need. If you are going to get a Yukon Hammock from Woot then I recommend the...
You could always buy direct from the Yukon-Outfitters. You won't get the savings you might from Woot, but you are also not waiting for Woot to have them on sale.
Another vendor could attempt to license the technology from Clark. If Clark was so inclined, they would then charge a fare fee for each hammock using their technology. Example the on going feud...
Yikes!! Never rely on someone else to bring needed equipment. I would say the 365 pushed and surpassed the advertised weight limit of the hammock.
If you ever wondered how the Yukon Hammock performs in a weight test, Just have a frightened 40 lbs Australian Shepard land on your chest when your sleeping in your hammock. We had a minor thunder...
Frankly, I think you should win just on your enthusiasm alone. I tried to watch some of the other videos and blah is an understatement. If any ever needs to see how a video should look, just watch...
I'll back the KAQ Jarbidge any day. I have one that I use as a loaner. I had a New River a year ago that I took well below it's listed rating. For the price you can't go wrong. Check the for sale...
You have my vote fronky. Who knows maybe we'll see both you and Tayla on the show.
Birthdays are just another day, unless of course it's Dutch's Birthday. Happy Birthday Dutch.
These things are tiny, they'll be a great addition to the doors on my modified Mamajamba. Thanks again Dutch for another great product.
I picked up a cheap $5 hammock at 5 Below. It's perfect for a gear hammock. Now if I can just find the time to get outside and hang.
When I put my quilts into my pack, the under quilt just goes in sans stuff sack, the top quilt is in it's stuff sack. Good choice on your quilt. Paul does great work and I recommend him when some...
Watch the For sale Thread. I have picked up Several Quilts at reasonable prices. Look for Synthetics instead of Down. KAQ Quilts tend to be sold at a very reasonable price here. If weight is not an...
Can the hookworm be used on tarp doors on the Superfly?
These would be a great after hike pant. I would definitely wear these around camp or in the hammock during winter camping. Kind of like a down pajama pant. I think some light re-enforcement is need....
Welcome from the Center of the Garden State. Ditto on what SilvrSurfr said.
I purchased one of those $5 hammocks from 5 below for the purpose of using as a gear hammock
Nice job. I've been toying with the idea of making a quilt just like that. I picked up 2 fleece blankets from Wally World for less than $5.00 same camo pattern too.
I have a couple interesting stories that are memorable so I'll let you choose which one you like.
The first and most recent happened on my hike of the NJ Section of the Appalachian Trail:
On...
Hmm a Secret Santa gift if ever I saw one.
The fact that this quilt has not moved at this price is shocking. With that said, I'll take it.
Dutch I really think you're trying to get me kicked out of my house. I order another hammock and the wife is gonna kill me.
You received a lot of great advice from everyone that replied. So I'll add my $.02 to the till.
As funds allow upgrade as needed. I think the tarp would be a great place to start. You can get a...
Nope. I read about a Pig Farmer who had a heart attack while feeding his pigs. Wasn't much left when they found him.
My Aussie loves the hammock, but will jump out when he gets to hot. The...
Congrats on the purchase it's a great combination, my first quilts were a New River and Owyhee. I might get another Owyhee just use in the house.
Agreed. This is a forum not a social network. I think rating a post is a pointless exercise.

I'll take it. PM me your payment info
You can always get a camo tarp at Harbor Freight
Reminds me of a Woobie, I like it. I really need to make time to get to know my new Thread Injector.
I'm going to miss the trip reports, but mostly I'll miss the the videos and photos of Scout. The final trip report brought a tear to my eye. Now I'll have to go home and give my dog a hug.
When I had a Poly Tarp I ran the ridge line under the tarp. Cheap Tarp no worries. When I bought my Warbonnet I went ridge line over the tarp and then later graduated to no ridge line at all.
I really feel that AHE is very underrated. Paul makes some of the best quilts at some of the best prices I've seen. There are days that I regret selling my KAQ quilts, they were just that good. Even...
I did a winter hang a couple of years ago. Along with the reflectix pad I used a DH Winter Sock. There was so much frost inside the sock from the condensation that built up that it looked like a snow...
The sunshade works well, two are better. Duct tape them together instead of gluing. Every once in awhile I find a Emergency Reflective Blanket that's perfect for hammock camping.
The Emergency...
I have a Mountainsmith that I post awhile back in the forsale threads. Here's a link to the thread with a description and picks: Mountainsmith Pack
It's good to see back
Good choice on the quilt. I love my down quilt, but I miss the Owyhee. Sometimes I wish I never sold it.
During a NJ Winter Hang I used both my top Quilt and a 40* Sleeping bag the combination helped to keep me warm when the temps hit single digits.
More like $35 maybe $40, but still worth it. Cheap aluminum stakes and some mason line work as well. You can get Mason line, 4 Aluminum stakes, one of those mesh scrubbies all for around $10. Open...
Let me make a recommendation. Toss the stuff sack and pick up some Mesh Sleeves (aka SnakeSkins) from MountainGoat, makes packing a tarp that much easier. Use the stuff sack for something else....
If I was an Extreme Ultra Light Hiker I'd jump on this. According to Gossamer Gear, the pack is rated for a base weight of 5 lbs. That's a great price on a nice pack. Consider this a BUMP
I have 2 - 11 foot hammocks that I use for camping and a 10 footer as my full time sleeper. The 10 footer is going to get replaced by an 11 shortly.
The one I have from 2QZQ is 106” long x 64” wide. If you have some skill with a thread injector (sewing machine) you can DIY using 4 yards of ripstop nylon or silnylon.
My Rain Fly has arrived. Here are my first impressions after opening it up and then setting it up.
1: I believe it might actually be lighter than the equivalent rain fly from Hennessy Hammocks....
Just following to see how Dave is doing. Anyone have an update?
I can, I have both. Let me know when you need them.
Didn't get the hammock, I did get a pack cover though. It'll look good on the Ohm.
