Is that $15 shipped for a pair of Ti dutchclips (not AL)?
Sad I can't make this year guys. It was a wonderful blast last year, and I enjoyed every minute. Have fun without me.
Sad I can't make it this year as I'm now working overseas (Qatar). Had a wonderful time last year, and wish a terrific and fun time for everyone this year.
I enjoy the differences in how I "feel" when I'm under a tarp and when I'm not. I've never had a problem with either choice (so far the weatherman has been correct).
However, another advantage to...
I can agree with everything positive said about the Camper XL. I slept 2 nights in mine this past weekend, and it was amazingly comfortable. I definitely had a hard time wanting to get up the second...
How does doing this affect blood circulation to the feet?
You can surely try it, but I second the idea of setting up over something soft (mattress or something).
One thing you'll need to consider is that cotton will rot/break down and may fail without...
Haha, not a Cowboys fan, either (Giants fan, by marriage actually... gotta keep the FIL happy)... but I'm gonna sleep the heck outta that baby! Heck, my wife saw the picture and even thought it...
I only have 2, so i can only vote those:
BIAS Camper XL
GT Skeeter Beater Pro
I guess i'm gonna have to try this someday.
Yay! Love my android! Thanks man, best of luck in your new endeavors

Heres my guess
The pack covers are on the site already. Nothing on the tarps, though.

Congrats Paulie and struug! Enjoy the stoves!
Thanks for the generosity, vwgerald.
I'm pretty sure the code was for February only.
Awesome! I've been eyeing the WL Tadpole for sometime, and things like this are likely going to push me over the edge. Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad to hear it worked out!
Ooo me too! Thanks for the opportunity
Good work! I've made some stuff sacks and a ridgeline organizer out of tyvek. It's pretty easy to work with.
FYI, Fedex envelopes work just as well (same size), but don't carry the heavy penalty...
looks like a good time! Thanks for sharing.
I voted 1.5" because I just loop the fixed end through my hammock channel. I think others may need a larger loop for other attachment types. I suppose a larger loop doesn't hurt, but a smaller one...
Wow, thank you so much! I'm very honored that my suggestion was taken, but I'm more impressed with the responses from members, and the generosity of Brian, Shane and crew.
Brian has been VERY...
1..... :(
Sounds like a cool trip! Good learning experiences. I think you're right, that a trip each month will help refine your system, skills, and help you enjoy the money you've spent so far. Unfortunately,...
If possible to string it up with a suitable fabric(obviously not), this rope could support ALL 19263 members of HF, even if each member weighed 263lbs. :D
I've been using a heavy duty space blanket (the 5'x7' size with the green back), folded in half. I'm thinking about trying a smaller piece of tyvek or something to cut down on size/weight. Thanks for...
Had the same problem (Samsung Galaxy S2), removed Hammock forums and re-fav'd. Works fine now!
Thanks!
Good for them!
The REI I went to recently sold mostly ENO stuff and no polyester webbing. The only webbing they had was nylon (a few different types), even when the guy checked the computer. He...
Happy Bday Dutch!
Since you've got the Camper (car, bike, etc), and the WW/WWM (UL backpacking), why not call this middle-of-the-road hammock...
The BIAS Hiker
Cotton sheet or poncho liner both sound like good options.
In SC, I might avoid the "wet the sheet" idea, especially if the humidity is high (above 70 or 80 percent). Here in FL, wetting...
Try the SnowPeak 700 or the Vargo 750 as well. I think there's an MSR one out there that works, but I'm not sure.
I've heard the Olicamp nesting cup (anodized AL) has handle rivets that go inside...
I'd love to be in! Thanks!
Thanks! Too much information for one read.
Good work! I'm thinking about doing one of these as well. I know wilderness logics has some good down 850fp available.
Haha, I'm about to start in the same way... A DIY sewn stake bag!
Good luck, and have fun!
WB MamaJamba Tarp (or HG CF Tarp... but lotsa $$$).
JRB TQ and UQ
Dutchware stuff (hooks, flyz, Ti clips, RL biners)
Dynaglide Adjustable SRL
Trekkin' poles (any decent kind, Leki, BD...)
Time
This trip was such a good time!
Even though I was only able to spend one night, I had a wonderful time hanging, and meeting all these wonderful people. They helped me enjoy my FIRST night in a...
Umm... according to this, it's supposed to get down to 40*F on Saturday morning around sunrise...
There are actually a few... Nalgene brand makes collapsible bottles, hard plastic bottles, soft plastic "ultralight" bottles, and stainless steel bottles... not to mention, they come in a couple...
That sounds like beautiful weather!
So, I just signed up to come Friday night and hopefully hang (all night) for the first time in a hammock with you folks. Sounds like it should be a great time!
Aw man, i'd love to but i'm not home right now (orlando), i'm up north for the Holidays.
Y'all have fun!
Wow, i'm in! Thanks for you generosity.
Hello,
I've seen a lot of reference made to this forum, so I'm joining in hopes to get enough information to setup my first hammock camping rig. I've never slept in a hammock, but I'd love to have...
