I ended up using a hot nail to make a hole in the end of the sling to attach the toggle. Your idea and modified some.:)

Yes that was the one. Great idea Thanks Frawg! What did you use for the line, mason line? I thought dental floss sewn to the tail would work to keep them from crawling off.
Did not hang long as it is very blustery and quite cool today, but it worked in the short term. Will give a better report on another day. Need to work out the toggles. Looking to do as someone else...

Sorry for the confusion. The hammock is attached to the ring on each end with existing rope(soon to be replaced also) through the sewn channel.
