Thank you again
http://uppix.net/kvgdd8.jpg
thanks a lot, more easer for me than taking ABOK each time :D
Oooops :D
is the theta fabric from Duro a good candidate for making tarps?

I have a TTM double for a while now and i like it.
First thing i made was to add a ridge line, then i put woopie slings on it

Nice :)
i almost do the same thing with a ring of inner tube at the other end of my guylines
They are made from plastic that is quite soft, and then is easily cut.
They are 8cm long so i make 4 pieces of 2cm for each of my tarp guylines, more than enough to me.
...
here are the knots that i use most of the time
- the Angler's loop ABOK #1017
- the blood knot to join two ropes ABOK #1413
- the blake hitch
- the constrictor knot ABOK #1249
- the diamond...
Thanks for the comments.
I use 2mm guylines and they fit perfectly, i can slide them up and down easily.
Plus, they are quite inexpensive, about 5€ for 36 pieces, and i think i will cut them to...
I will be able to test with my HH explorer Dlx as soon it will be back to me from 2QZQ, with these amazing zip mod :)
Same as mine
Bought one few weeks ago.
I would like it a bit longer, but it's ok, here with a diy hammock made with a bed sheet, from Ikea too.

Last week i found some spoke reflectors in a shop.
Though it would be a good thing to add to my tarp guylines, and in fact, it is :)
Weight nothing, and effective.

The first time i have needed a nickname for internet, in 1996, i was reading The Case of Charles Dexter Ward from HP Lovecraft at that time, and Joseph Curwen is one of the main characters.
Never...
Added myself :)
I switched to woopie sling on my HH :)
That's a great idea!
I will give it a try this week end :)
As an archer, pieces of arrow shafts is what i use since the beginning, they work great :)
Just got a pair last week, they are fantastic
Little nap in the backyard to test my gear last week.
-2 C (28 F), snowy and windy.
A Ticket to the moon hammock double, a PLUQ double layer with a 1.5 mm foam layer inside and a -15 C (5 F )...
I love it!
I had tube bugnet from Ticket to Moon, and made the mods to obtain a "fronkey's bugnet".
I really love the mods

Thank you Scum and Knotty!

Little nap yesterday in my backyard, to test my PLUQ by cold weather.

just made the conversion on my Explorer Deluxe, and it works wonderfully :)
Just made one for about 20 $ with a duvet cover got at summer sales and some webbing.
Nice place to enjoy a "raspberry mojito" :)

Welcome among us Agarmantes.
I'm living near Revel, do you know this place? Not so far from Montpellier :)
Got a ticket to the moon double too, with whoppie slings, a nice hammock indeed.

Salut le Chuck :)
bienvenu sur le forum.
Tu verras, une fois le hamac essayé, c'est adopté (du moins pour les nuits passées en solo ;) )
les nuits à la belle étoile dans le confort, ça n'a pas...
What about using a pulley like here to enter and then put in place the underquilt?

As a ridge pole, i am thinking to use a pole used in windsurf.
They are in two pieces connected, made of fiberglass or carbon, so they might be light.
And second hand one may not be too...
i got it knotty
Hello,
this winter, with a home made SPE, a ridge rest sleeping pad, 2x 1/2 ccf pad wings and a Carhintia Defence 4 sleeping bag, i spent a night warm and toasty by -4° C (25° f?)
:D
hello,
i have a heavy 10 x 10 ' DPM basha.
what do you think about the two possible set up, A frame and Diamond pitch?
What are the pros and cons, according to you?
Sure, diamond pitch...
thank you, i understand now. i think i make a confusion between the ridge line and the line that sustain the tarp
I learn a lot of vocabulary with this forum :D
fig 8 too, works great
Sorry about that, but english is not my mother tongue...
So i need to ask: what do you mean with "is the ridge line sealed?"
a kind of waterproof RL?
Or a little leather disc

your wish is my command

sure it would work.
BTW, i would prefer using a bit of bamboo skewer in place of matches. Really strong and weight nothing
Hi, this is my first contribution to this forum :D
thinking about tarp pull-out, i remember to have some small plastic pulleys.
i had the idea to use them with a ring of bicycle tire, and guess...
Just add my self.
It seems that i am the first french hanger on the map :p
i use pieces of bamboo, works great for me ;-)
Excellent idea!!
I will give it a try on my HH :D
