by the way, the zeppelin use 47.9% less ropes than the figure height which is 7.7% less than the alpine butterfly so they are pretty much the same in terme of rope usage...

this is why I wrote this:
never had any problem with amsteel for making any knot the only thing is that you have to adapt the knot to the rope...
I don't think a knot is you know it then...
I might be wrong or just close minded but I think that the zeppelin loop is kinda hard to remember... and if you had a slip with the butterfly knot, it might be because you didn't check it before or...
I just did the test again being more carful, I ended up that keeping the same loop size the alpine butterfly use 43.5% less rope than the figure height (in line or on a bight will use the same...
the alpine would be better than the figure because if you don't use a loop in the middle the pressure will be put il line I mean that it's not gonna force the knot to open like a figure height would...
