TheXringHunt, you used the above dimensions with a 10 foot bed right? I've cut my box using the same dimensions, but I'm going to add all the "extra" material to the shelf. And my dl bed is 11 feet...

If my math is right you shortened the right side about 17 inches. You probably lost some length in the wrap as well.. But 2 feet seems a bit much.
