I wish them luck. I do wish that mail order companies would prominently display traditional business contact information on their websites.
Well I came to find out that the Ridge Creek UQ will fit into the Kelty 6in x 12in compression sack that compresses to 6x9in. While the Owyhee TQ will fit into the Coghlan's 10L 7in x 16in...
Just got tracking on my top and bottom quilts. But I am curious as to the packed size the Owyhee TQ.
I read the post as well and didnt think it warrented a chuckle. The kid chooses not to use down. Can't see much wrong with that.
Ill point this out too...

Welcome from Tidewater!
Welcome! Grew up in Chesapeake myself... Great Bridge '88!
The Cloudburst is the tarp that Warbonnet intended to pair with their Ridge Runner hammock. The side pull outs of the Cloudburst are aligned with the position of the hammock's spreader bars.
Well yes, this does have a little something to do with hammocks...

Two to four weeks seems to be more than reasonable to me. Are we expecting small custom cottage manufacturers to keep enough stock on hand for immediate shipment?
Thanks, cpverne's threads were one of the many that I spent time reading.
I keep going back and forth with myself, whether I should buy an underquilt or make my own. I have pretty much settled on making it, but still have a couple questions. This will be for my WBRR.
Congrats! I've enjoyed my Ridgerunner and I am sure you will too.
Hello neighbor! Welcome to the forum!
In my non-expert opinion, one can be a camper without necessarily being a hiker, but it is rather hard to be a hiker without being a camper.
Reminds me of something i saw this past spring...

Well here I am. It is 12:07am and I'm all set up. Took me about 40 minutes to set up the hammock and tarp in the dark. I've got the tarp pulled out wide so I'm not using the pull outs. All comfy and...
I am writing this traveling with some friends up I-95 to Pennsylvania. We're WW1 reenactors and heading up to our recreated Western Front battlefield to do some maintenance on our trenches.
It's pretty simple. No matter what, the seam is the weakest part of the tarp. The silnylon fabric may have a high hydrostatic head rating, but the seam will not have that same rating. The seam has...

The tarp fabric is silicone impregnated nylon (silnylon). This creates a waterproof fabric, that does not need to be treated. The seam sealing is necessary, because in the sewing process, the...
Nope, that's the reason for the difference in price between bulk and measured.

From my wanderings around the web, Wilderness Logics is about the cheapest you'll get. They sell by the ounce and will bag it up in half ounce and ounce baggies. All for $7 an ounce.
I thought it was funny that someone referred to the thread as squabbling.
The one thing I noticed about this forum and hammock reviews was how little there was in the way of negetive reviews of...

If you are pinching pennies, ask about blemished hammocks at Warbonnet. Thats the route I went when I ordered my Ridgerunner. I am pretty pleased too, as I cannot tell what is blemished about it.
