Short update on my Haven XL.

That's pretty impressive, keep up the good work! Stay safe.
I don't have any site-specific info, I just know it's difficult to stay within the rules of being within 'X' feet of a post planted in the middle of each site. I know that's not much help, but you...

Silicone-based tape that will stick to silnylon or similar products would be recommended over standard seamstick.
Sails are commonly taped together with double-sided tape and then sewn thru the tape.
I say it sure couldn't hurt. On this lazy-mans DIY wookie inspired UQ that I made I put knotty mods on it. See around the 2:15 mark for knotty mod info.

Here is a canvas hammock sock I made ages ago, worked pretty good but I ultimately found that I preferred it with the top open b/c it would otherwise frost up pretty heavily inside. No reason drop...
I don't think my poor old fingers could do it! :D:D:D
I made some UCR’s that have a titanium toggle for the attachment to the hammock, nothing else is terribly interesting about them :-)

Prayers for a fast and full recovery.
I see a lot of talk about the price.... but wait, there's more!
"*Bonus!!! The Cricket Stand comes with a FREE custom carrying case. You’ll have room not only for your hammock stand, but any...
Well done!! That looks pretty handy.
Are you uploading the photos or linking from something like google photos?
Welcome from the greater Battle Creek area. I would 2nd UGQ for quilts, I have uppers and lowers from them, I don't have one of their tarps but I'm pretty sure my sister does and I've heard no...
Welcome aboard from Michigan!
I've made finger patches with the same weight fabric, which was a lot of work but I mostly wanted the aesthetic the next tarp I used one layer of "way overkill" 500d cordura the cordura being much...
Thank you!
Thank you. I've also not had much luck with emailing them. They responded pretty quickly to my first email just to say they were unable to watch the video due to their location and...
I do like how short the suspension length is I think it will be pretty easy to find trees for it. I may have to make a custom tarp for it one of these days. I hope the company gets back with me,...
Thanks Saltfly. None of the issues seem to be getting worse but I haven't slept in it much lately. The mosquitos have been crazy here lately and I'd like to try it again just to see if they can find...
I too am surprised at the weight, but it is a pretty cool design.
Thanks Tikker. The rip hasn't seemed to hurt it so far but it is disappointing. I prefer to enter on the left of this but the zipper is down at the foot when it's closed and it's honestly a little...
Thank you. I try really hard do have decent audio, thanks for noticing.
This review is a bit long-winded but it covers a lot of ground.

Thanks for the info. I may have to hit you up for some more details as I get closer to the trip.
I've got an XL and I'm working on a video. It seems pretty solid but build quality isn't amazing, definitely not cottage vendor quality.
I've got an XL, only slept in it twice, once overnight (most of it anyway) and once for a nap. I'm not much of a side sleeper but it's definitely doable in there.
Love it! I'm tentatively planning to do the same thing this summer (If there's still water in the river :) ) Thanks for sharing.
Tragic. Prayers to his family.
Congrats on the new ride and the sweet hanging rig.... well deserved.
All of that is very encouraging, I too have an XL on order for May, I can't wait!
I find that if I get the RL reasonably tight first, by the time I’m done staking out the corners the RL is noticeably tighter, yet not too tight.
I’ve done V and no V and I like them both. I’ve done a V on a continuous RL and on tarp end Lines and like both very much. I like to change my rig every once and a while just for the variety, I’m...
Well done sir! Those are most impressive.
Welcome from Battle Creek.
I'm pretty sure that work is going to keep me from coming again this year. :( I continue to hope that I'll find a way to make it up.
When I winter hang I don't even pretend like I don't need a hot water bottle to sleep with, it makes all the difference in the world. I've even had to get my arms out of the top quilt to cool off a...
Great job! Plus, that camo blends well with your current surroundings.
Looking good!! :thumbup::thumbup:
Looking forward to some pix when you're done.
Its my understanding is that silpoly doesn't have that much stretch (never used it)so you could probably even go a bit shallower like 2-3%, over 11' a 3" cat cut should be enough, especially if you...
Somewhere in the 4-6% of the length of a side is a good depth for the cat cut. It's at least something to deviate from, modify to taste.
Those are very cool, nicely done.
Welcome from Michigan! I had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks in Basel last fall for work, beautiful city, wish I could have explored a bit more.
I've got a tarp hung out in the back yard right now using Nama Claws which are brilliant! In the case of the Nama claw, I'm doing separate lines off each end of the tarp... sort of... the line is...
I've got some white mesh if you would like some.

I have a Tensahedron stand that you could borrow, it packs small enough for a kayak I'm sure. That may open up your stealth options some.
3" seems about right. Ive used al. arrows before but I prefer something a bit more beefy..... no reason I just like a thicker toggle.
This is MY TARP, based off the Whelen Lean-to, all "doors" can be folded in so it's just a rectangle and it can be pitched on the centerline or off-center in lean-to mode. When pitched long side to...
I'm still using a Pile Hitch on my tarp stakes, and if you're using bungees in your system no need for a sliding knot, just put the stake anywhere along the line you need it.

I had seen those while surfing around.... interesting.
Very cool!! Nice work. I got a chuckle out of the censorship too.
