    appears to be a polyester micro rip stop fabric w/ an acryliuc coatong on the back side.

    you have the right source for the knitting needles & they are hollow, but try the 8" length. You can make two grip fids from each needle. I have not found them @ Joann's or any source...

    10 x 12 = 13 1/3 sq yds. Go crazy & add 10% for hems & grommets = 14 2/3 sq yds @ 1.9 oz per sq yd = 1 lb 12 oz. Can't see where they get the listed 2 lbs 9 oz unless that's shipping weight.
