Wecome. Love the handle.
Welcome from a former Marietta-er. Southern Tech grad.
Three guards approached you at the same time?
Info on this page, also a download.

Print out some rectangles 2x3 units in size (to match your tarp) and start folding.
For staking, how about...

Sounds like someone needs a HUG. Maybe a BIGHUG.
Welcome from SE LA.
What parts are you from?
And where did you source the bottles?
I was thinkin he'd rigged up an HD projector shootin to the undersided of a screen he'd rigged as a tarp.
Is anyone using on of the Park series bags with a 25" pad?
Allright, who's gonna make an UQ for THAT!?
The ropes were exactly what I was referring to.
I wonder how sturdy a bamboo one would be...
If you look at their photo gallery, it shows some close ups of the intersections. Looks like a prime place for a failure if heavily loaded .

If BA had a centerzip bag, I'd go for it.
When it's cold enough to need it, I'll just use a bandana ala bandit style.
I'm not sure what it's called, but I'd have either a fixed loop or bowline at the end, wrap the tree, push the loop over the standing portion, and insert the toggle.
I'll take a black set as well. Thanks.
What length is the canoe? What type of paddle(s)?
I've been running a CRL under attaching with prussiks. I've been playing with pole mods and an inner prussik allows an attachment point without the need to sew a tab on the tarp.
Another idea I...
If I ever locate some poles that are light enough, I may try the double pole setup I was playing around with. I neat thing about this config is if the tarp is perpendicular to the wind direction,...
Hey Rug,
How about including a test of Rain X Anti Fog Windshield Treatment?
What's in that stuff anyways.
I posed the question in another thread and was requested to start a new one.
So, does the tarp ridgeline angle matter? Does it affect the condensation buildup? For open tarps vs. closed-up...
I keep a couple of velcro ties on both of my poles, to secure the two poles together when needed. The poles are also a good place to keep a length of electrical or duct tape.
I use to always carry...

Walmart sells a Stanley SS 24oz for 5 dollars. I like the SS option to allow boiling in the container.

When I made my dynaglide whoopies I considered putting a plastic bead on the loop section to prevent this. BUT, I didn't have any on hand so didn't do it.
Has anyone done this with success? Or...
I also have an idea for a one-tree, one-pole hang. Not sure if this has been done before.
Rig the pole (10'-ish) to the tree like the boom of a sail.
Hang the hammock off the boom.
The tricky...
I've recently signed up to be counselor for Pioneering MB with my son's troop. I also acquired a huge bundle of bamboo for projects, and have been doing some research on bamboo lashings and...
I've got a Yampa 40* and an Exped DAM 7 short. I use a short ccf section in the foot section. I found myself waking up to cold arms, but using a light fleece liner helped.
The other issue is not...
Wee fish ewe a mare egrets moose, panda hippo gnu deer.
I finally got around to making a couple of aluminum arrow shaft toggles. How could these be modified for other purposes? I haven't fabricated anything yet, but my thoughts were maybe
high pitch...
Camping with the scouts, I always have to have a ground option. I never slept comfortably on the ground with a thermorest type pad and was always sliding off the pad. With the Exped and BA bag, I...
That's a great idea. I've been working on a 90deg rotated HH Hex setup that needs a pole mod, but I don't really want to carry a full pole. I was trying a shorter pole clipped to the under-tarp...
I'm not an UQ guy and must've missed something.
How are these intended to be used?
Was the bottle filled all the way to the tiop?
Here's another mod to the single tarp that add's two triangular pieces and allows for an enclosed ground pitch or a closed off end for a hanging tarp....
Thanks for the input. I'm thinking that the use of eyelets and lacing may be the way to go, but I'll probably need to deal with water intrusion. What about using a seperating waterproof zipper? ...
I'm thinking we need to find a source for large sheets of the heat resistant nylon used by Reynolds for their oven cooking bags.
I'm looking for a HH Asym to use as a loaner for scouts.
Thanks.
Welcom storrie. I had to go to the Columbia site to read up on this.
I found some videos (some are almost as good as Shugs. Some are WAY better)....
Trying to imagine Shug as a shiny spheroid... I suspected as much.
Has anyone ever made one of Just Jeff's Zippered Segmented Pad Extender?

There's also a few (okay, maybe just me) that use a Big Agnes bag and an pad. I camp with the scouts and have to have a ground setup option.
For hanging, slightly shorter tarp if trees are too close, "creates" a set of doors. Last month I pitched reallly low like this for a low of 28deg. Closing the ends seemed to help hold in some...
