What kind of knot did u use? Is this from an MSH?
Landmark, I am a similar size, 6'1" and 210-220ish. I started with a HH explorer was actually quite comfortable in it. I decided to give my HH to my little brother and "upgrade" to the XLC. I have...
Mighty kind of you! I'm in thanks!
I like room to swing, but the ability to reach out and push for that initial swing is nice. I didn't plan my setup that way, but my "short leg" is about 4'. It is nice to be able to reach out and...
I'm in, thanks
dchrismer- No embarrassment necessary! I did the same thing for my little brother's graduation earlier this year :)
Thanks! I originally had three coat hooks instead of just two, but one of them didn't make it through the initial test phase... Glad we have padded carpet :)
I know it has been a while, and after thinking about this for a few weeks and getting the boss to approve the design, I have finally finished the first shelf. (Eventually I will have to finish up 3...
I'll take it.
Final call is obviously yours. I don't think u can go wrong either way, but I do think the danger bird has a little less fiddle factor to get set up. There is a bit of a learning curve for the XLC...
Sounds like fun. I'll be there if I can.
Welcome to the forums
I worried about my dog getting tangled and all at first, but the guy lines didnt seem to bother him. He moved around them, even in the dark, without an issue. I did have him tethered to a tree that...

Don't know if anyone has noticed this yet, but you can see in one of the pictures where they...
Huge thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make this weekend so great! Kai and I had a wonderful weekend!
I had just the black bag in Afg. I slept in thermals and socks and was still cold with a crappy night of sleep when the temp was in the 20s.
This sounds like a great time! I am looking forward to meeting everyone and checking out some gear options to see what needs to be added to my Christmas list :)
I am coming up from Dayton OH,...
Welcome! Looks like your going to need an underquilt, some Dutch gear... the list continues :) Good luck and happy hangin'
Looks good! I hope it brings a nice price
Might be worth a repair patch before you go too deep into the woods. I cant remember which vender sells the patches, but i know I have seen a few available.
Congrats on a successful hang
Welcome from Ohio!
Welcome to HF
Another welcome from Dayton.
Lol I have been talking about a way to hang inside for a while now. Figured if I can ease into it she will come around. It ha been working so far, but the plan now is to make something like the...
Welcome from the Dayton area
Welcome to the forums! I am just south of you in the Centerville area.
I'm in... thanks
Hang in there! :). You will get it
Looks great!
Thanks for the great communication and super fast shipping! You guys are great!
Welcome to the forums, from the Centerville area.
Sounds great, I'm in.
So I am not a new hanger, but just moved to the Dayton area (military guy). I am looking forward to a few good hangs this fall. :D
Love the parachute shelter. If you double layered the parachute it would be pretty water proof. Also maybe you could give the one you have now a sil nylon treatment? Good looking rig!
Got it, thanks!
Great breakdown of the different types! Thanks
Welcome to high side :). I will be moving up to the Dayton area this weekend. Looking forward to some cooler weather!
dammfast, thanks for pointing me toward the corner mount idea! I will certainly try to work that into one of the rooms, using a corner cabinet with the opposite hang points being a decorative...
Beast, thanks, but they wife has said it needs to be disguised. I might use one of those to mount to the bottom of the shelf though.
Gargoyle, that looks like an awesome set up, but i don't know...
Zooshooter, the shelf idea is looking better and better, just have to figure out where I'm going to put it in the room, and come up with a design that the wife approves :)
The post mentioned by...
Yak, I have seen where a big gathered end hammock works just fine for two people and I'm willing to experiment a bit ;)
Zigerot, that's an idea, but my wife wouldn't want fake plug plates at eye...
It is not a cheap quality hammock. At least the double version isn't. The price tag on it when it comes in mail is $70. It could certainly use a ridge line and suspension upgrade, but at $25...
Yak, I was thinking of possibly hiding one end in the closet, but am open to more ideas because I am also working on a way to hide some mounts in the living room.
Floridahanger, I'll look for...
I would like to set up some good hanging options in my new house and am looking for ideas about how to hide the mounts.
I know there are options out there, but google has been failing me miserably...
Congrats it only gets better from here
Good review, but the price makes room for some upgrades... Suspension, biners, ridgeline, etc. overall a great loaner rig
Some people have had the slap straps stretch on em. I have never had experience with them so do some additional research. Best of luck
