Fun perspective - helping future hangers.
We have one good hanging tree (+fence) in our yard where we set up our hammocks, but have since planted a few other saplings in the six or so...
Hello from a gal hanger in NC! If you wanted a change of scenery, my family and I will be at the Smoked Butt Hang at Falls Lake in the Durham NC area... Might be a bit of a commute I understand...
We snagged two of the bugnet ones last time for our kids (age 10 & 4) and they are great! No fancy frills (well except a bugnet!) but they certainly do the job and can easily be mod'd suspension-wise.
Great! Now when I post or tweet pics of our family's hanging fun, I can tag you (aka advertise for ya) :shades:
About the sale... I guess this means I know what might be waiting under the tree for...
My second official HF hang is in the books! Looking forward to the next one! (However, sorry, Zilla & wife, I don't think it'll be the winter one in Maine, even as beautiful as that part of the...
Tears in my eyes (yes, I'm a girl!)... super sweet, Bannerstone. Thank you for sharing about your Pegi.
Sorry, I didn't get these up before! Here are a few shots of the various signs from the weekend.
When you're having buyers remorse and want to sell your lynx or cloudburst... message me! ;)
Thanks so much Country Roads! Looking forward to seeing how it fits. I will bring a short pad. Sweet! Just hung out this weekend and went with a full length pad and survived but we didnt come near to...
Its official - I'm in! Sweet! Dropping the kids off halfway there at my folks house - afraid it'll be too cold for them this time.
Anyone have a WB lynx I can borrow? I keep waiting for one to...
I did get sign/banner pics. I will try and upload tonight or tomorrow. I didnt get many other people pics though :( Mothership was snapping a bunch of group shots around the campfire. Maybe she'll...
Cute! Great idea as a gear hammock as well, once she grows out of it. My 3.5yo just spent his first weekend out in a hammock last month. Get 'em hooked young ;)
My first Hammock Forums hang! AND the first time all four of us hammock-camped together! Very fun!
Thank you all for welcoming my family and I into the HF-fam. It's always fun to be able to put...
Wow! Fantastic job! Thanks for sharing.
Is it able to be used with the WBRR? I know it won't be a "perfect" fit, but does it keep you warm?! I was wondering if one of the wide versions would work nicely. Thoughts? Or, stick to a...
Forgot to add... we have two grilling utinsils that will cook three dogs at a time. Will bring.
My living room is a mess! Silverpalm2x and I are getting everything all packed up for our family. Excited to have all four of us sleeping off the ground for the first time together this weekend! :D
Yep :) Not every subject is conducive to hammock lounging, but we might as well make use of them for the subjects we can! ;)
The weather today is just too beautiful to pass up! I homeschool and on days like this, we move our classroom outside... hammock-style.
WBRR for the teacher and 2 GTs for the students...

Ditto! Just started using Tapatalk a few weeks ago and don't see them. Although I do miss seeing where everyone 's from...
Hello from a fellow female in NC  Just did my first overnight hang while family camping last weekend. It was great! I look forward to meeting some forum folks at a few of the hangs this...
Any idea how long this sale will last? (Waiting for payday!!)
Also, looked on the website but didn't see shipping estimates. Any idea what the current turnaround time is for an UQ?
Thanks!
Makes sense. Sounds good. Happy hanging!
~ not purchasing/ still available ~
I'll take it, but I will need to get the "ok" from my husband first!
Good stuff! I will have my first overnight with my WBRR this coming weekend. I have yet to decide on an UQ. What's making you pick Arrowhead's? Are you specifically looking at synthetics, just want a...
Wow! Impressive. Great DIY. If I can make it to Yates Place in Nov, I definitely want to see this!
+1
I totally agree. Not nec DIY stuff but more how to use (ok, maybe mod) existing hammocks, suspensions, etc.
Nice! Actually I do... we homeschool and in the spring and fall we spend a bunch of time in hammocks. My daughter does her reading of several different subjects while hammocking. It allows my younger...
So. Noob question... yall are pretty much saying that if weight isn't an issue I should go with synthetic bc its more versatile for possible wet weather/dew/etc? (Budget only allows for one UQ).
How did it go? Researching UQ options for my "new to me" WBRR...
Yep :) My husband set me up with a RR (no lynx yet... nudge, silverpalm2x) and he was duly rewarded when I agreed he needed his own WB. Only he went for the BB. Pays to take care of your wives......
I would be in favor of a kids corner. Neat idea.
Oh... great point! I haven't yet done an overnight in the RR (will be in a few weeks tho!) so I don't know, but at home I am a side-sleeper, so that would be nice!
p.s. I linked the websites...
From what I've read, it's ideal to get one made for a bridge. Check out The Ridge Creek for synthetic, 3/4 length, 3-season or The Lynx for down, full or 3/4 length, 3-season or winter. I have a WBRR...
Wow! Great trip. Nice sites for family hanging! Thx for sharing.
Wow! Sweet! Could use a few more gals on the board :p
Haha - that's what caught my eye - the title, after the discussion from the thread referenced above ;)
Good job on the DIY though - super impressive! Way to get your girl out there hanging with...
Where are yall sleeping? On the ground, inside the tent? I'd want to hang too, lol!
Thanks for sharing this, though. I have started looking around the board for family hanging with young kids,...
Thanks! Upon SilverPalm2x's request, I'm starting to look into these. Need a cheaper solution for the fam to have some light coverage in our hammocks. Great quick look that gave me an idea of what my...
Smart gal! 1 point for the wives here on the forum!! ;)
So would you say it's a no-brainer to just get a Lynx since I have RR? Wondering if gathered-end UQ's cover as well on the bridge hammocks?
Thanks yall... I think?!
Great list of places, yall. Gonna jot some of these down as a fellow "wife" & new hanger as well. Thx!
Ok, ok, start shaking your head at the newbie . What is the correct way to word the action of hammock camping? As in, "This weekend my family went camping (in hammocks)."
hammock +...
Family tarp?
Will be following this thread... searching forums for info on family hammock camping...
How old are your kids, hecta_g?
Get them hooked while they're young ;) Good work!
Just hafta step out from "lurking" and chime in to say...
I'm a girl... and in NC too :) Welcome!
I am going to pass on this.
