Have you tried just throwing it in the dryer for a while? That may close up the 'holes' that you are noticing. A photo of the issue may help with better suggestions.

That's a good choice. I have a 1.7 MTN and a 2.2 Hex. Those are the only(current)materials that I would consider. I'm only 180lbs, but I like a fairly firm feel and the 1.6 or lower materials just...
In general, any underquilt designed for a gathered end hammock will fit any gathered end hammock.
If you want a more definitive answer, maybe let us know what underquilt(s) you are considering.

A 12' tarp would do you well on a 12' hammock. Can't go wrong with UGQ either.

Although I've never used it myself, the hive says go get a tube of 100% silicone, some mineral spirits, and a couple acid brushes at your hardware store. Thin the silicone down to the consistency of...

No regrets. I actually just purchased another. As cmoulder said, if you are that concerned with pack volume, a folded DCF tarp is no larger than any other tarp. This photo is of my folded 11' winter...

I assume that is Colombia, not Colorado as the Andes do not run up into the US.

That is actually the way I prefer to set up. A snakeskin can still be used with no issues. Here is a photo. (Sorry for the quality of photo, just had this set up in my basement) I add a small loop on...

I'll check in with Yogi but it will probably be the week before that, April 22-24.

I used an 11' Standard w/doors for my last section hike. It worked fine. I just ordered a Palace for the extra side coverage. Not necessarily for the coverage of the hammock, but when it rains and...

I feel like you are leaving out some important information.
If you typically get cold feet a sewn footbox is the warmest option.

I actually prefer an 11' tarp on my Ridgerunner. Width is a little more important to me than length. ([emoji2958]) The hammock body is much shorter on a bridge vs a gathered end, but it is harder to...
Hammock.. I'll take it

I have or have had all 3. There is a significant difference in the size of the insulated portion between the 3. I suspect that is what drives the difference in amount of fill more than anything.

As @Rolloff stated, pillows are probably one of the most personal items in your kit.
Pillow
No pillow
Stuff sack with clothes
Drybag with fleece layer
Inflatable

Synthetic
Copy that! I tried warning a buddy about that fabric(Cloud 71) prior to our last section hike.... He ended up in an ENO by trip's end after a catastrophic failure.[emoji2371]

To your last question...
I prefer 100% horizontal baffles. I've had both, only currently own horizontally baffled.
I don't know for sure that there is a functional difference, but that it's...

Hey stevebo,
I have not done any trial and error so maybe this isn't very helpful. I also shortened my foot-end dogbones to about 34" so that affects the geometry as well. I made my ridgeline to ~...
To answer your question, the Incubator is comfort-rated. A 20 is designed to keep the average person comfortable at 20 degrees.
As others have shared though, many factors go in to what rating...

I'll echo this for the most part. I use an 11' tarp for my RR. I don't really wish for more length as much as a little more width. I think I'd opt for the Mountainfly if I were after a "beaked" tarp...
I have a 20° full length lynx. Not a whole lot of savings , because I'd just need to order a replacement. But I'd like to get a matching color one if it worked out. Cost me right about 300 shipped....
