I have a 10' DIY hammock that works perfect with the monsoon,with a ridgeline of course i have had no issues.for group campn tho a bigger porch mode would be nice.

i have the monsoon and love it.holds the rain and wind out and has a smaller footprint for when you have to carve out a spot to hang.going on my 2nd winter with mine and it seems to be holding up...

i have learned that one material is poly ripstop and the other is cotton blend ripstop.both were listed as hammock material.i pretty much destroyed this material learning to sew it but will use it...

i dont understand why the monsoon is the same price as the hex rain fly? is this a promotional thing or is the rain hex better quality?
in the end this is a great deal for the 70D.
