I use sticks when I can but I really dig the antler idea thanks. Alot of good ideas here
The couple Rangers I've seen either noticed the straps or wasn't paying attention . We've never been hassled about it.
Is the bliss tarp still for sale?
I have a superfly what size do most get for a SF. 11ft or 12ft?
Count me in and thanks
I've heard of people zipping they're jacket around the foot and/or head end of they're hammock to act as another quilt.
Awesome thanks. I've probably had twenty plus nights in my top quilt never wanted to wash it I was worried about damaging the down. Ill get some nikwax sometime.
Do you use just a couple inches of shock cord?
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but how people wash they're quilts. I don't think I need to just was curious as to how and how often. I would think washing would be bad for the down....
I guy I go hiking with is real tall and a light tent never really fits him so eventually he switched over and since then another buddy has switched. It just makes sense, sleeping on the ground is...
This somewhat pertains to the thread. I tested out my new wilderness logics UQ on my wbbb and I had to tighten the ends as tight as they could to not have a gap. Is this normal
Has the yeti ever been too small for anyone? It's smaller and lighter than other quilts.
I've been using reflectix with a 15 degree TQ all year and have been down to around 40 and been fine. But last night it hailed most of the night and I was cold most of the night. Didn't know how cold...

Haven't converted to indoor yet but would like to set it up so I could use both but haven't yet
I've been using a five foot piece of reflectix this summer. Gotten down to about 40* F and been just fine. Fall is coming so ill see how cold I can get.
I've never heard about sealing the seams and ill get right on that but does any one spray waterproofing spray on they're tarp. I have a super fly and used it many times but was thinking about doing...

Wow a lot of ways I could go about this. I think I like the whole roll-up idea that Grish showed. Gonna try something like it but a little different. Thanks
Hello every one. I was wondering how most people pack up their stuff? Do you pack all your suspension in your stuff sack with your hammock so its not in a bunch of different places in your pack? Or...
I did it. Its ordered. What do you guys think for shipping time, three weeks or so?
Thanks for the in put. I think I've got all my questions answered. Next step is to buy it.
Currently I'm using a mummy bag and I'm trying to talk myself out of getting a TQ but its not working. Still a little hesitant to spend the money but I'm set on Wilderness Logics. I'm 5'10" and...
How many fl oz does the taller one hold.
I'll take your north face pack.
Ill take one of your day packs. Which one would you say is bigger, the north face or the Gregory?
Still for sale? If it is then ill take it
I've always wanted to learn how to tie knots but I've never needed to learn. My whole life I've always said can't tie a knot tie a lot. So when I stumbled on the hammock scene I was totally stoked...
Ya I've never seen a TQ/UQ in person so I thought that was a great way to show the comparison. Thanks
I'd say go get some reflectix. I think the rolls are 2' by 16' for like 15 bucks where I get them. Been using a 4 foot piece of reflectix and a mummy sleeping bag for a top quilt. Slept toasty in the...
Hey thanks that was just the answer I was looking for. Looks like I'm going to order it.
So I'm looking to get a Phoenix 20. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it can be real stormy one min the sunshine the next minute. My question is can I get the 20* UQ and use it in the summer and...
After reading through this thread I'm going to go a head and spend the big bucks on the UQ I want. Thanks for the convincing
Just wondering how heavy is too heavy?
Thanks guys for the input. Ya I think an extra 3ft would be perfect. And I'll probably get them from Brandon cause man this hammock is quality, I'll give him my coin.
wow its pretty cheap. So would you suggest the 3/4 flat nylon?
So Im looking for some longer tree straps for my Blackbird with the line/strap suspension. I live in washington and the 5 ft straps are not making it around many trees. Ive only set it up a couple of...
Its here! Ordered on the 29th of March i think. Got it on the 6th. Man am I stoked!
Nevermind found some. But do you have to buy 180 ft of it. I gues I'll never have to buy it again

I was wondering what kind of temp the jerry chair can go down to compaired to the shamu?
I thought this was a great thread. A good break down of the types of knots and when to use them.
So what kind of stuffing does the Shamus have, down?
Sweet. Thats exactly the answer i was looking for. Thanks and i will deffenetly be reading a lot over the next few weeks, on everyhting i can.
I was curious to see what your choice was, or if you have chosen yet. Ive been reading up on as UQ as i can. Still I dont know what i should get. Just intrested in what your decision was.
Im not sure if this is the best place to ask this but Ive ordered a superfly and was planning to make some suspension for it when it gets here. But would like to have materials ready so any good tips...
So I ordered mine on 3/28, does 3 to 4 weeks from then sound about right?
i was wondering how the sleeping bag worked for a quilt? I plan on doing the same thing my first couple times out also. the UQ are a little spendy but I will deffenetly get one.
