For me the pockets don't work for keeping you warm. There great for gear and things like that that you want to keep off the ground. I have slept in the 20's before but only with a foam pad.

I like my feet abou 3" higher and a fairly tight hang. Squeeze does not bother me and I sleep on my back and side most of the time. On my stomache too for short periods of time.
