i have the tarp / camping hammock / poncho.
sometimes i'll do an overnight stop when i need to get an early morning transport connection en-route. i'll travel 'light' & use the poncho as the tarp....
been thinking of this but i guess it's for being out in the snow / frost.
otherwise they seem rather bulky to me. i stick to the mummy sleeping bag, fleece liner & cotton liner & possibly when...
aye congrats also from me. i still have mine a year later & it's very functional. i like the way you can modify it slightly yourself to tailor to your needs, which i guess everyones is different. one...
ahhh cheers for the clarification. these sound like they'd be a bit longer also.
yep. i'm guilty of this also. i think the lurker to poster ratio can be depicted as a pyramid, with lurkers being the base two thirds, then occasional posters, & the board-o-holics being only the...
what about those coil things that you light & they burn for 8hrs max? anyone use them?

you could even try those stick on puncture repair patches (two, one either side)
yeah i found it best to keep the tension taught & flat as you suggested, partly because someone has already mentioned webbing stretch - though i did not experience this myself. probably because my...
i think the idea is privacy. tents are enclosed so people can change in them*. if you're tarp is large & configured in a way so that your accomadation space is fully enclosed like a tent, well, it's...
i was thinking about this recently, your half tennis ball is similar to my slotted foam disc that is sprayed... but i'm still worried about places with big ant population! there's a pine forest near...
hi. been lurking for a while. now; i have this DD ravel hammock & let me say first, i'm very satisfied with my product. i did read some posts in here (esp. about quality control) fortunately this...
newbie hanger here... as a newb i'd agree finding a good spot is a lot harder than setting up, or kit choice. it will depend on where you're going & how long you intend on being out, i guess.
on...
